My family and I dined at the restaurant Sunday. The menu choices very limited and what there was very overpriced. Seems like they are in business to go out off business.

We are truly sorry that you did not enjoy your dining experience. There are 14 items on the menu from fish, lamb, beef, poultry, and seafood, am not sure what you were looking for. We prepare all items from scratch and try to maintain the highest quality possible. We are happy to accommodate any special dietary needs and desires of... More

Good food. Good portions. Great staff. Nice setting. Orange rolls are the best. We have had many family gatherings there and never disappointed.

We took our family on a Saturday night for the Prime rib and seafood buffet. we were all very surprised by the wonderful display of foods, served by wait staff and absolutly some of the best customer service--hands down! We meet the owner and she was a delight; her staff respect her and the place is wonderful. This is truly... More

The history of the Holloway House greets you as you enter. Waitresses are wearing uniforms that speak of a different era. The decor is charming and puts one in a time when life was simpler. The food is exceptional, and they Sally Lunn bread and orange rolls are a treat in themselves. I always have the chicken livers and they... More

My husband and I eat at restaurants frequently, and we often bemoan the fact that most places we go seem to be shiny versions of exactly the same thing. The service at many of these restaurants is lackluster and the food is simply warmed-up Cisco products. The Holloway House is the opposite. While there, we enjoyed amazing service from our... More

We went to the thanksgiving dinner tonight and the food was excellent! The atmosphere was nice although tightly packed. The only downside was our waitress. She was the most miserable person and I have never felt so uncomfortable with a server. VERY disappointed by her service. Wont EVER go back unless I call ahead and make sure we dont get... More

Ok, I'm giving a rating of "Excellent" and really it should be "very good". Just this once. Because even though some of the criticisms I see below are true (the building and silverware are a bit worn, dated outfits for the waitresses, a few cracks here and there) I found our recent meal there to be charming. It is a... More

We celebration an early Thanksgiving at the Halloway house with 9 family members. It was a wonderful evening. They were very good about accommodating my grandson who is in a wheelchair. We had our own room, which made the evening even more special!! The food was delicious, and the two waitresses were very attentive. We are planning on doing this... More

I'm a big fan of time travel. As such, I love the Holloway House. Both the food and the service are usually quite good (though there are occasional exceptions, hence some of the negative reviews below). Regardless of any lapses in quality, where else can you step into a restaurant and feel like you've traveled back several decades? There are... More

We have been going to The Holloway House for as long as I can remember. We had our wedding party there about 3 years ago and have returned often without incident. However, our recent experience was horrific and we're not sure why. Everything went wrong from the beginning. The place was empty and we were seated literally on top of... More
