What a nice place

This is definitely one of the nicest places in town. This is a high end steak/seafood restaurant so expect a large bill but you absolutely get what you pay for. Located in a renovated firehouse Number 5 offers an extensive menu with daily specials. The combination of great food, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere make for an enjoyable evening.

Their signature Original Greek Tenderloin is simply out of this world from a taste and seasoning standpoint. Other meals (like the Veal) I've had have been equally excellent. I would have given them 5-stars, but on my last visit, the steak was cooked very rare even though I ordered medium rare. The cut was of such good quality that I... More

There are special occasions that require a special restaurant. In Binghamton, that is Number 5, a charming restaurant created from a former fire station. Just beyond the reception area is a bar with old world character. This is a popular meeting place which offers a variety of specialty cocktails and draft beers. Tables are available on both the first and... More

Number 5 has always been my favorite restaurant in Binghamton. We always come here during the holidays when we visit from Pennsylvania. Discovered on their website that they have a three course dinner for the earlier hours with my favorite entree the petite greek fillet included. Took advantage of the deal which included salad and a small dessert. Good service... More

Really like the Greek tenderloin and appetizers. Bar can be crowded but seating upstairs by a window is nice.

The food, atmosphere and service were exquisite. In a former Fire Station, Number 5 is a delicious, fine-dining experience.

From first impressions, I was very curious as to why this restaurant is ranked #12. The interior and exterior have a great vibe. Nice décor, great ambiance, live music. It looks great. We sat at the bar where we waited for a table. The blueberry fog martini tasted like a lemon drop martini. There was far too much lemon in... More

The upstairs and downstairs areas of the restaurant seem to have two different personalities. The upstairs is quieter and and more formal. The downstairs has a nice bar and slightly more casual feel. The same menu is served in both locations. We were seated upstairs. The service was very attentive but never overbearing. We were delighted with the large nenus...beer... More

Nice people but the food was dated and dull. Shame really because it has potential. Felt like the food needed a facelift. Not good enough for the price asked.
