Food here is very good, decent menu. Have never been disappointed. Cannot go wrong regardless of what you order. Staff is great as well.

A bit pricey compared to other fine dining in the area. However, we have never had a bad meal. It's always exceptional food and service.

I come here a lot with my friends and my husband and 98% of the time we love it. I have had a few times when my food sucked or the bread was cold but overall its a great place and we keep coming back. I do wish that they would stop changing the menu, they had really good mashed... More

First of all, the name reflects the fact that the building was originally used as "Firehouse #5" for the city's South Side. The interior is rich in decor and history. You may request dining downstairs or up. Both are great; but the bathrooms are on the second floor. We prefer the main floor where the bar is visible. My husband... More

Were up in Binghamton for the holidays visiting family. Had our children pick the restaurants and No. 5 wasn't one of them. However, my husband and I decided to go by ourselves this past Sunday and we were not disappointed. Ordered Chicken Piccata for myself and my husband had pork tenderloin in a apple cranberry chutney. Food was excellent and... More

I have traveled across the US and around the globe except Africa and South America. I never wrote a review, because bad reviews affect the livelihood of people who works in that restaurant. However, I couldn't resist writing the experience I had on December 20 at the Number 5 Restaurant. I want to eat a nice piece of steak, and... More

Went to Number 5 for dinner with co-workers. Thought it would be a unique opportunity to eat in an old fire house. The food was great as well as the service. I would recommend for a special occasion. Downstairs is a little louder but a good atmosphere. Upstairs will be more quiet if that is what you're looking for. Enjoy!!

I was in my home town for the evening and went to Number 5 for dinner. I had not been there in years. When I did go there, it was only the bar as the restaurant was out of my price range at that point. The place was very tastefully decorated for the Holidays. The service was excellent. The food... We got here from Chicago to spend time with family and grandkids and wanted someplace special. This was a great way to spend early Christmas. The service was great by our waiter Cole he knew the menu and was very helpful in our choices of drinks and dinner. Our grandson was hungry so he put his order in first, we... More

We dined here last Saturday for a birthday celebration. Our reservation was at 7:30 and were seated promptly in the upstairs dining room upon our arrival (at our request). The upstairs is more formal and the downstairs is more casual with a bar. Our waiter was excellent, started by giving us a history of the building, explained the menu and... More
