Our Anniversary Dinner at Number 5

We were here on a Wednesday night in July at 4:30pm. They have early bird specials from 4:30 pm to 5:25 pm. We had three courses for $30.00 each person, The food was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The choices of the three courses was varied and I chose the Greek Tenderloin and... read more

food is very good, and the atmosphere depends largely on where you are sitting. downstairs is a nightmare if there's a band and very crowded. upstairs can be nice.

It's pretty expensive for what you're getting. We went during restaurant week, and it was not any value for your money. They just skimp on portion sizes, only to keep the prices up. The french onion soup is good, but again I can make better at home.

Best restaurant in Binghamton in my opinion. Cozy atmosphere, delicious and interesting menu. Brie cheese and French onion soup are a must try. Great service, feels like you're in a high end NYC restaurant!

We had the pleasure of dining with a discount certificate provided via email because of a birthday in July. Steaks at around $40 each were pricey for the area, but good nonetheless. Service was friendly and proficient - we would definitely return. Would be remiss if I didn't mention their VERY reasonable Early Bird Menu.

Was in Binghamton for the last night on our Canada drive vacation and wanted to spoil ourselves. This was the right place! Great manhattans, and all the steak is Prime. This is not cheap dinning, but rather very good dinning. If you are only in Binghamton one night, this is the place to eat, unless you are on a budget.

I was born and raised in Binghamton, NY many many years ago and Number 5 was considered the upscale restaurant in the area at that time. So on a recent visit when it was suggested that the family get together for an early dinner, late lunch I was all in! I loved the homemade potato chips and blue cheese dressing... More

We loved the restaurant from the moment we set our eyes on the outside, ( renovated firehouse), to the bar area with its original tin roof and exposed brick walls, and the dining area upstairs lined with bookshelves and local memorabilia. The fire pole is still in place, but secured for safety. The tables are not jammed on top of... More

My husband and I enjoyed an excellent meal tonight. I had the Lobster Bake, a summer special, and oh so good. My husband had the Early Bird Special Chicken Marsala. Well worth the money. The service was very good,(thanks Cole), and the atmosphere very relaxing. We like coming here for special occasions, and decided it was worth it to come... More

The Number 5 is an upscale restaurant. I went for the early bird special offered from 4:30-5:25. It is a 3 course meal for $30. The selection from the list was excellent. There were many choices to make. I had the french onion soup, linguine with clams and shrimp, and chocolate decadence. It was delicious! My son had the same... More
