We wouldn't change one thing about our wedding day. The staff was wonderful. I'm in the restaurant business and I am very picky about a lot of things. I was nothing but pleased with everything they did. The decor is beautiful. Our flower arrangements were set up perfectly and looked great against the lovely wood tables. Anything we wanted or... I have passed the restaurant many times and looked over it as a dining possibility. That was until I attended a business dinner hosted at the Peekamoose. As soon as you walk in you are able to enjoy a rustic feel of a country log home setting. The dining areas are large and comfortable each room with its own charm... More

Peekamoose is the only in restaurant in that area that is worth spending the money. The owners have great detail to the food's quality and the service. Decor is like a hunting shack, which I like. Bar tender is lovely lady with nice service. They have a fire pit outside with marshmallows and the sticks. Totally a nice treat if... More

From the varied and cool taxidermy to the outdoor fire pit and delicious martinis, Peekamoose keeps it's patrons interested visit after visit. I love everything at this place: the personable waitstaff, the inspired dishes made from local ingredient (and did I mention the taxidermy?)... Even my kids beg to pay Peekamoose a visit!

Nice atmosphere in the tavern area. We chose to eat there versus the dining room because the dining room just looked to big, not private and loud. Found a nice little side room that could accommodate our party in the bar which ended up being just fantastic. Food and service is what you would expect from a Zagat rated restaurant.....you... The food here was even better than expected - a very nice surprise for the Hunter Mountain area (35 min drive). After some very fresh bread, we started with the endive salad which was well balanced, very fresh, and very tasty. 1 salad was enough for the two of us. I had the short rib which was amazing (best I've... More

Out of the dark, surfaced an absolute surprise of a restaurant. Peekamoose exceeded every expectation that this weary traveler and my family had while on our way to an overnight ski break @ Bellaeyre Mountain right nearby. Delicious, beautifully decorated, friendly service and a menu/wine selection to delight the 'foodie' in me. The surprise subsided only when learning that the... More

Just stepping into this lodge-like restaurant, you get a warm and welcoming vibe. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, who showed us to the bar area, since the main dining room was booked with reservations. Who knew you had to make reservations in the Catskills? This place, it's a good idea to plan ahead. We were seated right away... More

Peekamoose is a really nice restaurant in the catskills; the decor is welcoming and warm (as are the employees). They sport a limited menu derived from as much local sources as possible - local chickens and eggs, local beef, local greens, etc. I visited twice in the last month, and on my first visit I had the locally-sourced free-range chicken... Thank you for your lovely review of our little place in the mountains! We indeed source responsibly and locally - and are happy to pay the area farmers for their talent and quality. Truly, we avoid agribusiness factory farms - which does indeed translate to higher prices - But we're happy to keep the local economy thriving by our support... More

My wife and I cozied up at the bar for dinner last night. Overall a really nice experience. Their beer list is extensive, and it looks like the wine and cocktail lists are excellent. We weren't super hungry, so we started with meat plate that turned out to be filling enough for us to only order the butternut squash soup... More
