Out of the dark, surfaced an absolute surprise of a restaurant. Peekamoose exceeded every expectation that this weary traveler and my family had while on our way to an overnight ski break @ Bellaeyre Mountain right nearby. Delicious, beautifully decorated, friendly service and a menu/wine selection to delight the 'foodie' in me. The surprise subsided only when learning that the... More

Just stepping into this lodge-like restaurant, you get a warm and welcoming vibe. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, who showed us to the bar area, since the main dining room was booked with reservations. Who knew you had to make reservations in the Catskills? This place, it's a good idea to plan ahead. We were seated right away... More

Peekamoose is a really nice restaurant in the catskills; the decor is welcoming and warm (as are the employees). They sport a limited menu derived from as much local sources as possible - local chickens and eggs, local beef, local greens, etc. I visited twice in the last month, and on my first visit I had the locally-sourced free-range chicken... Thank you for your lovely review of our little place in the mountains! We indeed source responsibly and locally - and are happy to pay the area farmers for their talent and quality. Truly, we avoid agribusiness factory farms - which does indeed translate to higher prices - But we're happy to keep the local economy thriving by our support... More

My wife and I cozied up at the bar for dinner last night. Overall a really nice experience. Their beer list is extensive, and it looks like the wine and cocktail lists are excellent. We weren't super hungry, so we started with meat plate that turned out to be filling enough for us to only order the butternut squash soup... More

steak was cooked properly and the chicken dishes were very good. Only negative was how smoky the steak was but this seemed to pass. Good menu and the service was excellent.

Came up to belleayre for a night and after a day on the slopes were looking for some nice dinner options. Checked around and found this place. At first sounded odd that a place here would be packed but once we arrived realized it wasn't for no reason. The atmosphere is warm and lodge like, perfect for the location. The... More

Let me begin by saying that this is a wonderful restaurant, I've had some fabulous meals there, but felt that I needed to post this, as the owner seems to check this site. Last night I dined there with my girlfriend, and things were going well until the entrees arrived. While mine was spot on, she'd ordered the cod, and... More

We ate at Peekamoose twice after skiing at Belleayre. We are a family of four with kids ages 8 and 10. The food is good. For the prices, some would expect great tasting food but we thought it was made up for by a nice ambiance, really friendly service and an overall lovely experience. The wine list was very good... We are not from out of town but our relative guests were. We have eaten here several times , at least two dozen times at the Tavern Bar and at tables. We never had a bad experience and food as always, " fantastic" so decided to bring them there for dinner . But this past time was the "Bums Rush"... More

Our family came here for dinner after a day on the slopes. Where do I start? Ambiance: the decor is warm and cozy with lots of white Christmas lights. Lot of trophy heads on the wall, but fitting as this is a mountain restaurant. The main dining room is open, but at the same time warm and intimate. Food: this... More
