The food really is that good. Would especially recommend the charcuterie. Local and seasonal fare with a new menu for each day. The only very slight negatives were very raucous large parties having special event gatherings in the main dining room. The service does not quite meet the level of the food. Staff seemed overworked, but they were very kind... More

The Hudson River Club, Picholine, Le Bernardin, Guastavino's, Atlantic Grill, Remi Restaurant, and the famed Gramercy Tavern. -- several of my favorites in NYC. Devin and Marybeth Mills worked there, moved to this beautifully restored farm house, and change the menu daily based on the availability of locally grown produce. A must stop for lunch or dinner if you are... More

Excellent excellent experience! A fire burned in the fire pit, giving a smoky aroma as we walked in…soft lighting, mountain decor…..and then the food! The menu is interesting and filled with good, decent selections. We had the fried clams as a starter…I thought Kelly's in Revere MA had the best, but no, these were the absolutely best fried clams ever!... More

We stumbled upon this gem as a recommendation from the proprietor of the B&B we stayed at in Hunter, NY (see my review on the Fairlawn Inn). What a fantastic experience. It has the vibe of a Catskill Mountain retreat with a modern twist. The food was out of this world, and the drinks were creative. They have seperate bar... More

Truly wonderful evening celebrating my Birthday. Creative foods including green salad, brook trout and wine. Service has greatly improved. Great dining experience.

My wife and I wanted to eat at Peekamoose with another couple we rarely get to see. We called ahead to get a table at 6:30 and were a bit disappointed to find the inside dining room had no tables available- but the hostess offered us a table (first come) in the tavern or outside. She explained the scenery outside... More

I have known this restaurant for 10 years.. I say it like that because Peekamoose is like that old dear friend that doesn't judge you for eating french fries for dinner or a pint & half of ice cream at midnight. This is a fantastic restaurant all around. The food is superb and inventive, the staff is fantastic, Deanna is... More

Thank you for your kind words and praise! And yes, we can't agree more - Deanna is truly a gem - talented and unflappable - and honestly one of the best people we know. Thank you for your continued loyalty. We are truly fortunate to have such wonderful guests return time and time again. More

WOW is right....when there is nothing around and then you sit down to this menu you wonder if you are reading correctly. Great food and prices. Limited menu but plenty to choose from to eat. Service was mediocre but w/o complaining they did compensate with an after dinner drink and ice cream. It was my husband's birthday.
