This place has been a part of Bayside for decades now. It's a real institution for a reason. The menu is limited and they do NOT deliver, but that's worked just fine for them all these years. They provide pizza and calzones and that's about it, but what they do, they do well.

Checked this place out due to reviews online and it didn't disappoint. It was a little intimidating the first time in, as there is a counter and it seems like you need to know what you want asap. However after looking over the many options, we did not feel uncomfortable at all. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We... More

Not the quintessential slice of Big Apple pizza, but good-- lots of little restaurants in Bayside seemed dark, but this is on a corner and brighter/more open than most places we looked into to get a quick bite.

Not sure how it is spelled, but the best I ever had. The Sicilian is excellent, as is the specialty slices I have tried. Eat in or take home/out. VI will not dissapoint

Pizza is average. Don't know weather it was the cheese or sauce but just not right. Compare to good pizza like amore in pathmark shopping center flushing. Or new park pizza in howard beach, high volume always fresh thin crust pizza

They make the best Sicilian pizza. My wife likes the Grandma and Grandpa pizzas. Regular pizza is delicious too. Best pizza joint in Bayside. Atmosphere is not bad for a pizza joint. Photographs of local celebrities and sports stars, Mets, Yankees, boxing champs, etc. Still a family business if I'm not mistaken. I wish they delivered, but they are so... More

There is no point eating pizza from anywhere else while in Bayside. This family run pizzeria is always busy. Everything is fresh and delicious. The Grandpa slices rock and for a real treat order a special pie to your liking and they will make if fresh for you to enjoy! So good!

I used to enjoy visiting VIPizza many years ago, but ever since it changed ownership the pizza has become, honestly, mediocre at best. It's nothing special; in fact, it's rather bland. Though there's not much competition in the immediate area, there are better pizza options within a couple of miles. For me there's just no reason to visit VIPizza anymore.
