We went to celebrate retirement of friend! While the food was excellent the service depended on the waiter who was attending us. We had ordered a cake for occasion and had to request what was not served so honoree could take it home.

Don't bother. Way overpriced. We were there last night with a large group. The service was terrible. The paella with lobster tail came with a shell without any meat inside - had to be sent back. The veal was very tough. And the service was horrible.

I am going to give this restaurant a "five" because the food has always been good every time I have been here. I believe they have been in business since 1964. This is an extraordinary long time for any restaurant in NY City with the exception of the very best. Fifty year says a lot. I won't say I am... More

Two things to note: there is no lunch menu [as such] just the regular menu; 2nd. after finishing a nice meal noticed the sign outside on leaving that said they offered 20% discount during the month of August [hello it's August!!!]. WE DIDN'T GET IT! Will share this with the restaurant, as this leaves BAD TASTE in one's mouth after... More

Marbella is absolutely a fine dining experience. It offers traditional Spanish cuisine which is excellently prepared and presentation.. Located in a hotel and with absolutely no frontage to mark its location, you have to know that Marbella is there. While a bit pricey for routine Dining it should be on everyone's list for special occasion.

The food is OK but overpriced, definitely not worth the money. My wife and I went in on a Saturday night about 9:30 and ordered a main course, sangria, coffee and dessert. The manager asked why we bothered to come in if that's all we were going to order! I told him it was almost 11 o'clock and none of... More

This is a regular stop for us and it was also the location for my retirement party last April. The food is listed as "Mediterranean" which means they have some Spanish, some Italian and some in between. The wait staff is what makes this restaurant so extraordinary. They waiters have been here for years...all older men in their fifties or... More

The Marbella Restaurant has been located in the same spot for years. Between the helpful, formally dressed staff and the classic and well-prepared Spanish cuisine you can't go wrong here. It can be expensive but it's worth every penny for the experience. It's not unusual to see large, local family gatherings here enjoying the atmosphere- a harp player performs regularly.... More

Hadn't been to Marbella in years. Our recent visit did not disappoint us. Try the banana appetizer and the mussels with cream/whiskey sauce - DELICIOUS! The paella and sangria are musts. Service was very good.

no apology and didn't even look me in the eye when 3 of our 7 plates had leftover food on them. It took 70 minutes to receive menus.Lobster bisque is terrible. Server upset that we were underwhelmed by the soup & complete with arms flailing said"I have been working here for 37 years and no one has EVER complained about... More
