Old favorite changes hands

For many years Peninsula was run, and run well, by one family. It is a comfortable and attractive restaurant ( large booths and amazing chairs at the tables) and was always crowded. Then it changed hands, and it was not good. Service was poor, and the food was not up to par. We chalked this up to... read more

Years ago I would no go anywhere else. Owners where nice, great food, nice menu. Place was sold, new owners ripped up the carpet which made it really loud especially when the food carts are rattling away with dishes on them. The menu looks like a fastfood menu. The food is no big deal anymore. I don't go anymore.

Great drinks too! Especially great for those special occasions with family our large groups. Food is deliciously prepared and fresh. Great service too.

I understand there are new owners, not understanding why the quality of the food had to decline so sharply. Cannot complain about the service, the waitstaff was very helpful...even going out of their way to recreate an appetizer that was a "special" my boyfriend and I had a few months prior under the previous ownership. If you have never eaten... More

Used to be a really good restaurant but the last two visits I was disappointed by the food. Service is great but the food has been getting worse

Since the original owners sold Peninsula there has been a down hill turn. Our old favorite of Grey Sole in Black Bean Sauce is gone. The steak on a stick is a pale comparison to the original as are the steamed pork dumplings. The Peking Duck was not fatty but not as flavorful as we had hoped. While the restaurant... More

I am usually very picky with my chinese food, but this was very good. They only use white meat. The staff was very attentive to the table. Over all a good experience.

Peninsula is not the cheapest Chinese restaurant in the area but has the best food by far. Nice dining room or take-out are available.

A warm greeting to start at the door, lovely table with beautiful tableware. Polite attentive service, noodles & tea to start, so good. We ordered a few entrees & all were very delicious, fresh sliced oranges & of course fortune cookies were served at the end of dinner. Next time we are visiting family, we will drop in again...

From the day it opened I've had nothing but disappointments at Peninsula. It's a beautiful restaurant with both Chinese and Japanese menus - something for everyone. The problem has been that both food and service have been sub par. Prices are very high. Several visits convinced me that the only way to win was not to play. I stopped going.... More
