in town so we though we would try it out

We were in bath so we thought we would try the place out. The food was good and so was the service. We had a very nice waitress and overall a good place to eat.

Wife and I drove into this quiet little town of Bath N.Y. Needed some breakfast and found this restaurant. I had a omelet and wife had pancakes. Enjoined our food and very much enjoyed the company of towns folk. We fell in love with Bath. If your in the area, stop in for a meal and some good chatting.

Very long wait time and an almost empty dining room. Most of the food was straight out of the freezer. Salads are pre-made and sitting in the dining room in an ugly cooler right next to the table. Table next to us had a hair in their food. Another table was full of loud mouths using foul language which is... More

when staying in Bath we always stop here for breakfast. Good variety of food at a reasonable price. Have not tried dinners, but the breakfasts are always good.

My husband and I go there weekly to enjoy a variety of homecooked dinners as well as Sunday breakfast and stops for coffee. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and so is the owner Joyce. The daily specials are always delicious, especially the chicken and biscuits and roast turkey. Of course the restaurant is well known for its sticky buns... More

Chat a why'll is great for sandwiches and you can get a decent breakfast. The atmosphere is good and so are the waitresses. Wait time is short.

We used to look forward to Chat-A-Whyle whenever we visited my elderly mother, but it seems to have gone so downhill in quality of food, I doubt we'll go there again.

We eat here every time we come to Bath. We like sitting at the counter. Very comfortable and friendly people. The breakfast buffet on Sunday morning was good. Pretty good variety and the quiche was real good! The waitress was very busy and doing her job. One customer was rude to her though and (the owner?) seemed to stand and... More

Found this place while looking to fill the tank on Rt 86. Historic Bath NY??? Did they invent the tub? So, I asked the counter person at the Gulf Station where iI could get some food other than McD's. I'm glad i did. Needed a good solid breakfast during my 6 hr trip home. This place was perfect! My father received a $40 gift certificate for chat a whlye. He did not get up there for dinner for a few months after receiving the ticket. He was sick . he went up with his companion and the waitress was upset that he had a paper gift certificate because they had a new machine that took cards. They argued... More
