Stopped here last saturday for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The salsa for the chips was excellent and our lunch was very good. My burrito was full of delicious flavored chicken and the rice/beans were very tasty too. Will definitely return next time we are in Batavia.

For authentic Mexican cuisine that is great tasting and reasonably priced, a trip to this restaurant is perfect. The place has plenty of parking, nice décor inside and very clean. Customers are always greeted with complimentary chips and salsa. The chips taste freshly made, not day old. We usually order a side of the white cheese dip and it is... More

The atmosphere in this restaurant is just great! I appreciate the speedy seating upon arrival. A basket of warm chips and salsa arrived shortly after being seated. Drink orders were taken - it seems that alcoholic drinks take a bit longer to be delivered - not really a problem as I wasn't in a hurry - and wanted to relax... More

Stick with the chips and salsa and a drink--you'll be fine. Everything else is bland and less than "authentic." I hear the fish is good, but I won't return to tell you.

Very unorganized. I called while we were in there because they never thought someone could be upfront waiting to be seated. Because they were unorganized that made us have to wait for someone to decide who's table we were. Then our table received our meals separate and still not all together. We would have had a second drink but no... More

Having lived in the "southwest" for decades and moved back home to Upstate NY, I searched for a "real" "authentic" Mexican restaurant. I've been to quite a few and they all were very disappointing. I passed by this place a few times when travelling from Corning to Buffalo. Yesterday I stopped in. I asked many questions and was accommodated with... More

Ate here while staying in Batavia, the food was great and the price was right! The service was also very polite and friendly. Highly recommended.

On a road trip and decided we wanted some Mexican food. After reading the reviews we decided on this restaurant. It is a good sign when th staff are Mexican. The food was delicious. I had carnitas tacos and my hubby had a combination platter. Margaritas and the fied ice cram: Yummy

Went to Rancho Viejo on a whim and now have been back many many times. I would have given them a 5 but the last time I was there they were very busy and it took a little longer than usual to get served. The food is great, I love the shrimp dishes. Lots of Shrimp and seared perfectly. One... More

We have probably been there 25 times and have tried most of menu items they all are prepared quickly and the taste is great. Especially enjoy the Mole Ranchero and the Chile Colorado.
