Chips Ahoy

A smallish bar on School Street, that seat more than it look like. The food is terrific, and you must get the home made chips.

Visited with a business partner for an evening dinner. Table service was slow, but I was not too rushed. Shepard's pie which should be a given at an Irish dig, was adequate. It was bland, meat was beef only. I would go again since it bets Applebee's. Clean and nicely decorated. On a positive note, the bartender was friendly and... More

I have been to O'Lacy's many times. The food is great (especially the homemade chips) and there are lots of beer choices. The only complaint one might have is that it is often crowded and noisy but I guess that is to be expected in an Irish Pub. Sometimes they have music which makes for more fun.

Olacys is always a good choice. You can't beat the bartenders or the crowd. Me and my husband consider it home turf. Made plenty of friends there. Nice relaxed and homey. And I love the food. Get the chips with the homemade dip. Or my favorite the daily Harold. Top three in the country for the guinness pour. Cherrs

Have eaten here several times. The most recent time was with a group of eight girls and although it was raining, we were able to be seated on the outdoor patio under cover. We each ordered something different and one of the owner's who took our orders and served us, offered to do separate checks without hesitation and willingly "customized"... More

All of the food here is simple pub fare, made well and from scratch. Portions are very large. The home-made chips are crisp and delicious!! Salads need a variety of greens, they are currently just iceburg lettuce.

We've had the shepherds pie in the past and really enjoyed it, but they've changed the receipe and it was like Alpo with burned mashed potatoes on top. Ugh. The place is super cute inside and the atmosphere is nice. No more shepherds pie for us, though.

Don't miss this place. Great Irish pub feeling to it and the the food was delicious and the staff super friendly and genuine. I wanted to try other things but the Chicken Ramakis was so good I ordered it both times. What truly blew me away was that I left my phone there and the owner, Kent, went through a... More

Party of 8 today at O'Lacy's. Waitress provided excellent service, including to four children of various ages. Food was high quality, cooked as ordered, and very reasonably priced. Burgers were outstanding. Sandwiches also very good. Next time we'll try some of the traditional Irish choices. Pub had old style wooden tables and some neat local tavern memorabilia as part of... We stopped in on a Sunday night with another couple. First off, great beer selection. Next, each of us had something different and we all enjoyed our meals. The bacon wrapped chicken over chips app is awesome. My double burger sandwiching ham w Swiss on top was absolutely killer! Will continue to stop here when in Batavia.
