We ate here for Fathers Day and had our best meal to date in the Aylesbury region so returned for my Birthday lunch. We rang and booked last minute on the day and could only get a table in the bar and eating at 2:30 - the kitchen shuts at 3. We started with bread and olives which were really... More

We chose to have our wedding reception at the Chequers. We had had dinner there a couple of times and knew the food would be fabulous. It turns out we totally underestimated it - the day was out of this world! The owners were fantastic; they handled a huge amount of the organisation for the day and managed to arrange... More

Wow I went here for my birthday one of the best meals I have ever had! For dessert the waiters brought me a lovely chocolate cake! Which was free👍 In a nutshell I thought this restaurant is fantastic and is 100.99999 recommended for any one. The only thing is most of the food is a bit pricey.!

Great place to meet and eat as a couple or with friends and family, or just to drop in for a drink Ranka, Drintan and staff make you feel special and very welcome from the minute you cross the threshold. Food is excellent and service second to none. Well worth a visit

Visited this restaurant a few days after eating at the Coda Restaurant in the Royal Albert Hall. We found the food to be of equal quality, preparation and presentation as the above at considerably less expense. High on the list for another visit.

We have visited the Chequers on at least 3 occassions. Each time hoping that the service matched the food. Unfortunately the attitude has got worse. Would not sell Prosecco by the glass although it was on the price list (only had Cavaby the glass). They did sell us a bottle of Prosecco but were very reluctant to let us have... More

Spent a special evening with my girlfriend in the restaurant and had a wonderful meal with excellent service from exceptionally well informed staff. The atmosphere was very relaxing and not rushed but the service was excellent. Superbly cooked food and a good range of beverages.I was pleased to see the dress code was upheld when a party arrived with one... More

went for a meal at the chequers at the weekend and the food was simply marvelous. It was such a lovely atmosphere and the service from the staff made us feel really special as it was a special birthday meal. The choice of menu was delightful and the steak was the best we have had for a long time. Definately... More

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant after being told about it by a friend. I had never been there before so I wasn't sure what to expect. It wasn't for a special occasion but we were treated to the highest of standards; from start to finish. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door with a... More
