Excellent

I'm a frequent visitor for so many reasons! It's an excellent and interesting place with a real log fire and staff equally friendly, warm & welcoming. The chef loves to cook and food is presented with a passion and individuality rarely seen. It is one of a select few in this area - a more... read more

We have dined here a few times over the past few years. We have always found that the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food, presentation and service has always been of a very high standard and are very accommodating to my dietary needs. Thank you for our wonderful evenings and we shall look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic place to eat, never been let down here. Have visited three times in total over a period of a couple of years and the food has been spot on every time, top end cuisine level at that.

We dined as a party of two couples on a Saturday evening in March. The pub / restaurant has a large car park and the building looks very well maintained and smart. Inside is a lovely mix of old and new, very tastefully done. The menu is varied and interesting and, we're told, changes regularly, which is a good sign.... More

We met some friends here over a long lunch. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made us very welcome. The food was outstanding, the portions were just right, cooked and presented to perfection. The house wine was very pleasant and the beers well kept. Fabulous, we will visit again.

Have eaten here a few times and always been satisfied. However, this restaurant is not cheap and the menu is limited to only about half a dozen choices. Most restaurants have at least 8-10 choices. The portions are not exactly generous either. So not much to choose from. I paid £8 for an after dinner ,very small glass of port! Was... More

I've been here a couple of times with the family but went for the first time with my girlfriend the other day after having not been in a while. I knew the food was good but i'd forgotten it was THIS good!! Arguably one of the best if not THE best steak i've ever had. Cooked perfectly and not a... More

We have taken friends here for an evening meal twice in the last four weeks. The booking was not only easy but very personal. On both occasions there was a warm welcome and we were given the same table. The service was excellent and the food exceptional. We will definitely use this for special occasions. Steve and Zoe.
