Really good service by very friendly staff. Bit more expensive than a regular meal out but fab food and worth it for a special occasion.

Lovely setting, good atmosphere and great food. This restaurant is one of the nicest in the area. The menu is good with changing choices dependant on seasonal produce. The head waiter is very good. He used to work as Rossini's in Wendover for many years and was always very good there.

We had read about the Chequers Inn on another review. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and staff were very polite and welcoming.

Went to this restaurant for Mothers Day. Arrived late and with more people in our party than we had anticipated one of whom is a coeliac but staff were completely unphased and were very accommodating. Food was from a set menu but was absolutely excellent. This place deserves to thrive. For anyone who has food allergies or requires a gluten... More

I just turned up at about 6.30pm on Friday 20th (without a reservation!) with my wife and son. They managed to kindly find us a lovely table by the log fire in the cozy bar. The food is the best I have ever tasted!! Chateaubriand like no other (my son said this was the best steak he had ever had...praise... More

Nicely hidden away in village of Weston Turville. have been recently for Sunday lunch...fully booked and no lunch available but still made room for us and allowed us to order from main menu...can't say fairer! A bright welcome, friendly staff, good food and wine knowledge. The patio and externals have been improved and now great for warmer weather when it... More

Where to begin after such a lovely meal. The starter of scallops was melt in the mouth. This was followed by beef with potatoes and buttered spinach. For pudding we shared Eton mess then a lovely selection of cheeses all washed down with a lovely bottle of Pinot noir. The service was attentive without being over bearing. It's a lovely... More

Very nice "gastro pub", an overused term for a while but this place , is the real deal, care and attention in the kitchen and good food as a result. Prices fair for the food that comes out, nice to see some creative dishes and not just the norm. Chef, all I would say , and it is a small... More

We attended the restaurant this evening and sampled fine food. My husband did think that the portions were on the small side but the rest of us had enough to eat - all plates went back empty!! Fillet steak with fois gras was reported to be the best ever! The chips were amazing! Sticky toffee pudding was unctuous! The wine... More
