It is not one of the best ever for a Restaurant - but it is certainly one of the best for high class pub restaurant meals. So good that we have been many times. Very good food (try John's own special potted shrimps - nothing like the normal ones - delicious) - a sensibly limited menu of excellent dishes. Very... More

My friend and I called in at the Five Elms to enjoy a well deserved lunch. John and Carol were the nicest of hosts and John cooked a divine steak for us both, with home made chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and garden peas. The pub is so pretty, with pots of summer flowers and hanging baskets. It has a pretty intimate... More

We have been going to the Five Elms since John and Carol took it over. We have been many many times with friends and on our own. John and Carol are lovely hosts and make you very welcome every time you go there. The food is excellent and the standard is always good. We love going there and will continue... More

We have been here several times and never had any criticism of the food, service or overall experience. Excellent hosts make you feel very much at home and the food is always truly excellent. Starters were super, mains equally the same, puds the same - so what more can you wish for?

The exterior of the pub is charming and the restaurant area is compact, but cosy. The food is good, but it feels like most reviews are overrated, as they seem to suggest this is incredible. Maybe we got unlucky, but it's a long stretch to call it the best in Bucks. Service was very friendly.

Wonderful food. The best meal I had in England and I went to several 5 star restaurants on my holiday and the food just didn't compare to the five elms flawless menu.

Another great meal at the Five Elms which never disappoints. If you are looking for a traditional country pub with really good pub food and a very warm friendly welcome, then you won't be disappointed. It is a small, very old pub with low ceilings and beams, but it is full of character and has a small restaurant/dining room attached... More

We went here last weekend , (both of had the Pork Belly), huge portions and cooked to perfection. Would have loved to tried the desserts but didn't have any room left.
