Fantastic venue. Great food, friendly landlord and land lady. We have been to the 5 Elms on many occasions and have always had a great meal. Everybody we have taken there has commented on the quality of the food. The beer is good too. A little gem tucked away in a village in Buckinghamshire.

Great eaten twice here now, lovely walk to get there and back, superb meat platter. Comfy chairs and decent selection of beers. Would recommend.

A colleague and I called in at this pub on the off chance early last Thursday evening as we were staying in the area for a conference and The Five Elms had been recommended. What a lovely place - full of character and beautifully decorated. We were warmly welcomed and both decided to choose the lamb from the varied menu.... More

We managed a booking and so pleased. Food was excellent and the chef and everyone were friendly and the service was excellent. Food portions were generous and presentation pleasing and flavours delicious. We will be back!

Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, Carol & John are unique! The restaurant is very small so you may be wise to book. Portion sizes are huge so we have never managed 3 courses.

Went back in May and I am still thinking about the food now in June, very very good. Huge portions and just delicious. Well worth the money.

Got the last table on the last night befor the kitchen shuts for 2 weeks while the chef and his wife the host and waitress go on what turns out to be a well deserved holiday. Food was unpretentious. Tasted delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. Fortunately we shares a starter of potted shrimps otherwise we would have... More

Based on previous reviews we thought we would give this a try. The pub is lovely and the welcome warm. However, we found the food a little disappointing, nothing special and the pork belly was dry.

Spur of the moment visit and really didn't think that we would get a table on a Sunday lunch especially phoning them just after 12! Got a table for both of us though and went along. The pub is the classic Chiltern pub...timeless and certainly a change from the chains that try to be old with bikes on the wall... More

We have been meaning to eat here for a while, as it has a good reputation. It is a little off the beaten track but definitely worth a visit. We received a genuine warm welcome and excellent service throughout the meal. The food was really delicious and nicely presented. This place is a real gem!
