Excellent lunch and really friendly

We had a delightful weekday lunch with two of our friends. The Caesar salad was delicious. The menu ranges from pub standards like ham egg and chips through to more elaborate dishes. I would definitely go back-highly recommended.

This pub, from the outside, is the perfect English thatched village pub in a lovely village location. We had seen a number of reviews for the Five Elms and the food did not disapoint us. We had Tempura prawns to start with and then the Duck. The Duck was excellent, it dropped of the bone and was amazingly tender served... More

Great old pub, very well maintained, in lovely small village - old England at it's best! Food simple but very good (was only a quick lunch as we passed by), service excellent, beer good, owners & staff work very hard to please.

Birthday meal. Lovely food and hospitality. The steak and kidney pudding is the best I have ever had. Honest, flavoursome food! Will be visiting again.

This was a welcome retreat on a very rainy day. It is small and very cosy and also popular so we were lucky to get a table without a booking. The menu is 'traditional country pub' with excellent pies (and chips) and good beer! Very generous portions and attentive, friendly service. What else could you wish for?

This is a wonderful village pub with great food, great service and excellent prices. The couple that run this place are a delight and are always very friendly. Clearly this has rubbed off on their staff who are also great. Word has got around about how good this place is so I'd definitely recommend booking.

The staff were very attentative and kind our meal was delicious, the steaks were cooked just right and just to our taste. The food was very fresh and hot when it arrived, there were 3 of us, it was Saturday night but we were very well looked after and everyone agreed we would definitely go again. Our only problem was...
