Food consistently good, service consistently slow

We enjoy Tex-Mex at Sunset. Atmosphere is fun, lively, clean. Cute salt and pepper shakers on each table (would love to see whole collection!) I often order the chicken quesadilla and always enjoy it. Always the same. Sometimes the salsa is a bit too chunky but still tasty. You have to go there... read more

for close to 7 years now! Great menu-not just Tex/Mex- fair prices, portions, GOOD Margaritas, excellent folks to "take care" of us, usually Tami or Tim! Always a recommendation for "first-timers to "go and enjoy!"

My husband had the ribs which just fell off the bones. They were delicious. I had the brisket sandwich. The brisket was so tender and the sauce was excellent. Service was very good.

Just happened to find the Sunset Cafe last week. Great ambiance. Quirky and cozy tables, some by the windows overlooking Front Street, others tucked away in various nooks and crannies of this old but charming house. Fun, relaxed, diverse professional but casual crowd. Nice people. Great food. Very reasonably priced. The pulled pork quesadillas is HUGE and incredibly flavorful with... More

Nice place to go for its kind of fare, small and unassuming - the kind of "cafe that used to be a home" sort of thing. I've had really good meals here and OK meals, never one I'd consider bad. It's usually a "beer with dinner" place for me, as opposed to a "wine with dinner" place.

Stopped in for lunch while in town looking at antiques. Cute place, small, clean. We had soup and sandwiches, all were very good. Service was friendly and our food came out quickly. Would definitely eat here again.

I've both lunch and dinner here. The salads are nice and big and tasty. We also like the quesadillas. However, our dinner there was fair. My husband ordered the ribs which were just ok. However, it was nice that there was a salad included. The wine and margaritas were very reasonably priced. I would go back for lunch but not... More

If you like BBQ and a southwest flair, you will enjoy this neighborhood restaurant. The food is good, it's inexpensive, and it's consistent. Down home atmosphere.

They have very nice southwest style food choices, especially the pulled pork. The interior could use some freshening up. The service is very good.
