Food consistently good, service consistently slow

We enjoy Tex-Mex at Sunset. Atmosphere is fun, lively, clean. Cute salt and pepper shakers on each table (would love to see whole collection!) I often order the chicken quesadilla and always enjoy it. Always the same. Sometimes the salsa is a bit too chunky but still tasty. You have to go there... read more

When we got there only one table was filled. We asked to see the menu and were very pleased. Our sandwiches were delicious. The fries were right on. Great. Service was very good. BTW more tables filled in.

Met an old classmate for dinner and that was pretty much the best part of the visit to this place. We waited for nearly five minutes just to have someone come to notice we were there. It took nearly one-half hour to get our food, which finally arrived after the food for the people that came in 10 minutes after... More

We dine here regularly but the service tonight was just so wrong! Check was wrong and it took another nearly 30 minutes to figure it out. At least apologize!

for close to 7 years now! Great menu-not just Tex/Mex- fair prices, portions, GOOD Margaritas, excellent folks to "take care" of us, usually Tami or Tim! Always a recommendation for "first-timers to "go and enjoy!"

My husband had the ribs which just fell off the bones. They were delicious. I had the brisket sandwich. The brisket was so tender and the sauce was excellent. Service was very good.

Just happened to find the Sunset Cafe last week. Great ambiance. Quirky and cozy tables, some by the windows overlooking Front Street, others tucked away in various nooks and crannies of this old but charming house. Fun, relaxed, diverse professional but casual crowd. Nice people. Great food. Very reasonably priced. The pulled pork quesadillas is HUGE and incredibly flavorful with... More

Nice place to go for its kind of fare, small and unassuming - the kind of "cafe that used to be a home" sort of thing. I've had really good meals here and OK meals, never one I'd consider bad. It's usually a "beer with dinner" place for me, as opposed to a "wine with dinner" place.

Stopped in for lunch while in town looking at antiques. Cute place, small, clean. We had soup and sandwiches, all were very good. Service was friendly and our food came out quickly. Would definitely eat here again.
