Worth Checking Out

Hadn't been to Carney's since the new management, but after a newspaper review, we decided to give it a try, and are very happy that we did. Often it is just about the food, but Stephanie and Matt go out of their way to get to know you and make sure you are happy with your food and the service.... read more

not like the original, too bad, it was a great place at one time. but no longer. the food is only average, and the service is very poor. make sure you have at least 2 hours..... even if you just want a sandwich.

Casual place where we enjoy sitting at the bar, having a beer, and watching a game on TV. I had a ruben which was delicious and obviously very popular based on how many other reviewers had the same. My husband had a cheese steak sandwich which was also very good. The live music has also been great the past few... More

My family and I stopped in for lunch one afternoon and were very impressed with the rustic interior. We were seated by the bartender who was pulling double duty as bartender and waitress. It wasn't very crowded and we had a table and our drinks in a relatively short period of time. I had the rueben which was very well... More

I love this place! Its a bar and restaurant in an old rail stop type building, how can you go wrong? I like their food, but my wife not so much. Go and get a reuben and a beer and watch the game - thats what it is there for!

This was our first visit and it was worth the trip. Service was fast and friendly. Potato skins were excellent. I had the fish and chips. It was a very generous portion. The fish was flaky and delicious. I loved the batter and it wasn't too heavy. Fries were very good. We will definitely be back.

Cozy, friendly and favorite place for locals and others. Establishment has been around for a long time. Under the new owners the pub offers the expected Irish pub cuisine and some gourmet dishes by a very creative chef. There is usually music on the weekend and a fun friendly staff and atmosphere. This is the kind of place where the owners... More

This location is one of those historic stage coach stops. Several restsurants and establishments have made this building home over the years. The previous restaurant had an Irish theme and was well liked in the community but the proprietors reached retirement and passed the torch. The new restauranteur is a hard working family man who opened his own place under... More

Carney' s Tavern is not just pub food it has a very nice variety of fine dining entrées. We have always gone there for casual fare but were pleasantly surprised when we tried their fine dining fare. We have visited several times and were not disappointed. Sauces delightful, nice presentation, loved the creamed polenta and beef prepared just as requested.... More

Stopped by after reviewing website for an anniversary lunch. Waitress greeted us and told us to sit where ever we'd like to. At the time there were 3 others tables seated. Waitress appeared to be also the bartender and hostess which made service very slow. Menu "looked" very nice...we ordered salad and soup and burgers. Guinness sign hung from bar... More
