We’ve been here a couple of times, and it’s been great both times. Thankfully for us, it’s also been quiet. The fish is fresh and well prepared, the service is excellent is as well. And the setting – you can’t beat it. A stroll around the park, looking at the boats and the water, before and after dinner makes for... More

My wife, Cyn, took me to Captree for a Fathers Day raw bar afternoon. We had cold whole lobster, clams on the half, and shrimp cocktail. All the time, sipping a cold Lobster Ale and watching the boats and geese on the water. I've had tougher days. Good prices and very fresh, as long as you don't mind paper plates... More

This was our first time visiting Captree State Park and we had no intention of having a full meal. We were there for salads and deserts. Most of restaurants of this class, they would have told us to go elsewhere. Not this place. Melissa our waitress took as good care of us as if were were each buying a 75... More

every table has a window view (2nd floor) either east/north or west. standard seafood fare is offered at reasonable prices, clam chowder has plenty of clams, coconut shrimp is very tasty, steamers and muscles were fine too. my only minus was ,the clams casino, the necks used were too small, it needs to be prepared with the next larger size.... You have to pay $8 to enter the park before you can even go to this restaurant, that's the only drawback. Service is cheerful, setting is delightful and the food is really, really good at moderate prices. We enjoyed the lobster roll which was prepared with lots of fresh herbs (dill, scallion). The decor could use a designer's touch but... More

Stopped in for some apps and cocktails. Didn't know much about the restaurant before hand but was in the area and figured I would give it a try. The atmosphere is very casual, great view of Captree State Park Park. Was expecting much so I was pleasantly surprised with the food. Probably the best Calamari I have had in a... More

I brought the whole family to Captree Cove to celebrate my wife's birthday. There were 6 adults, three children ages 2 to 12 and twin infants. They had plenty of room to accommodate us. The restaurant is located at Captree Park near the Charter/Party Boat fleet. The restaurant is upstairs and the large windows lining three sides of the dining... More

Had the lobster bisque soup and almost broke my tooth. There was a pretty big piece of lobster claw in the soup. Waiter said "at least you know it's made out of real lobster!" It was also watered down. Crab cake was good but pricey. Rest of meal was ok. View was nice.
