The staff were great and still the same team. The owner Terri is a wonderful host. I will be returning again with friends next year for a few weeks . I will be... More

We made a quick stop here for some coffee and ended up having some of the jam tarts on offer as well. They were truly delish and the service was great. The pizzas and fresh pies also looked amazing!

Near the start of the main road when entering from Ladysmith, this quaint restaurant has an outside gazebo area where one is made to feel at home. Our choice of meal was brought quickly and the owner came out to make sure we were happy despite the fact that the restaurant was busy. Yummy crispy toasted sandwiches served with a... More

This is a small restaurant where the food was served quickly and efficiently with polite and personal service. This small restaurant is further down from where large bus loads of tourists arrive. Nice food reasonably priced

It's one of our great pleasures to have lunch at Jam Tarts and watch the world pass by on the R62. Terri is always fun and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The pizzas from the authentic pizza oven are always a favorite, although I've tried many of the other dishes and always found them enjoyable. It's a great place... More

We came to the restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The relaxed atmosphere, nice service and especially the food was delicious. We had the smoked chicken which was very good and homemade lemonade a special taste and tried without success to check the ingredients unique taste. In short, highly recommended

These days Barrydale boasts some pretty good cooking, but Jam Tarts - one of the original food places in this lovely little town - remains wonderful. We had an utterly delicious lunch there a few days ago: fresh ingredients put together in really interesting ways and lovely warm staff, including the owner who recognised us from a previous visit to... Stopped here weary after a very long journey. Not to be missed. Food was great, place was clean and staff were lovely. Terri who runs it could not have been more charming and gave us lots of good tips for our journey ahead. Ignore bad reviews - a great place to stop and relax for a couple of hours. .
