A group of us ventured to Dullstroom for a few days. We stayed at Mrs. Simpsons accommodation which was wonderful. We booked to eat at her famous restaurant and it was an amazing experience! The decor! Wine collection! Food! Service! Highly recommended.

This is my 2nd meal at Mrs Simpson and once again she delighted. What a fantastic evening with our (Mrs Simpson's regulars) friends, the Seaches! Bryan and Steve, the proprietors, are fantastic hosts and the food is out of this world. The menu is a selection of great dishes, but I ended up having Roasted Marrow bones for starters. When... the eclectic ambiance and decor just add to the whole "Wallace" experience, with convivial hosts to match, you cannot go wrong with a visit to Mrs Simpson, and for us, no visit to Dullstroom is complete without a meal there. Food, as always , was tasty , I had Moroccan prawn and mussel stew, and my partner had one of... More

We had dinner at Mrs Simpson on Saturday night and it was as great as always. The oven roasted pork belly main was delicious and served with tasty veg & mash. The peanut butter ice cream with toffee sauce was one of my favourite desserts ever! R50 corkage was very reasonable too. Steven was a great host and made us... More

The food was great, the hosts were fantastic and unbelievably accommodating about my dog. My friend had the Thai curry and said it was the best he had ever had - so good that it was worth driving from Johannesburg for! I will definitely be visiting again :).

During our weekend stay at Dullstroom, we had three meals at Mrs Simpson's restaurant (it really is that good!) We had the following during our indulgent food festivals: Chicken & Prawn Curry, Pork Belly, Rabbit, Duck, Beef Curry, Snails, Prawn tempura, Peanut butter ice cream and Malva Pudding. Wow, wow, wow! What makes this restaurant so special is a combination... More

We had lunch at Mrs Simpsons and the food is so fresh and delicious, even our kids ate everything on their plates. The desserts are also very nice. Interesting deco, with all the shoes and handbags. We will be returning soon...

Mrs Simpson in Dullstroom is named after Wallis Simpson who married King Edward VII of England. (Edward had to abdicate because Wallis was a divorcee.) In this spirit the interior bears testimony to "a life less ordinary". There are paintings, quirky props and colourful wall hangings. The food really lives up to expectations. I had a heavenly starter of marrow... More
