We booked in advance to ensure we could visit this little gem. We were pleasantly surprised with the cosy atmosphere, interesting interior decor and a friendly cat with it's own story. The whole family could find something delicious to eat and the trout for main course was exceptional. Our teenage daughters had the homemade peanut butter ice cream which ended... More

Having for many years kept the name of this restaurant safe for the day I would visit Dullstroom again, I was delighted to see that it has recently obtained such good reviews. My plan was to go for Sunday lunch. We arrived early to find the service enthusiastic and the environment lively and quirky. We ordered a chicken livers to... More

We love to visit Mrs Simpson on each of our Dullies trips, it remains the best spot in Dullies both from a quality of food and an atmosphere perspective - Lamb shank was beyond heavenly!! As was the Malva pudding. Alas the Duck Confit and Pork chops were both overcooked this time but we will have to go back anyway... More

After checking out TripAdvisor for recommendations, 6 of us headed to Mrs Simpson's. We were definitely not disappointed! The food and service was excellent! I settled for a lighter meal of chicken schnitzel with cheese sauce and chips. The portion size was perfect, and it tasted great. Star of the show was the peanut butter ice cream with butterscotch sauce... More

What a place. Went for Saturday lunch. Chicken liver starter was out of this world. Almost will to say best ones ever. Had the pork chop which was amazing. And then the peanut butter ice cream. Good lord. You have to come here.

This restaurant was recommended by friends and we were fortunate enough to get the last table that night. It seems very small and unopposing at the entrance but there are different sections to the restaurant all with wonderful decor and stories of Wallis Simpson, shoes galore and the most adorable cat Wallis who comes and goes as she pleases. Our... More

Good food, perfect hosts. A typical restaurant you expect to be in Dullstroom. If you like the restaurants in Johannesburg's trendy areas such as Parktown North, Parkhurst or Melville then you will feel perfectly at home. Nothing fancy, but one of those places that has to be on your list when visiting the town. Remember to do an advance booking... More

Great atmosphere; eclectic decor; warm service; and an ageing cat with a will of her own. Loved the vibe here. Had a brilliant meal - prawns&calamari on mash, served Morocco-style, with pesto on mash. Contrary to popular belief (I say tongue in cheek) you can order Moroccan in Dullstroom. Yes, would definitely go back. Also really impressed with followup after... More
