It may have been the timing (later evening; weekday), but nothing stood out about this place. Waited about 25 minutes for a single dish that came out just warm...wondered if it had been in the window a while. There were 9 or so tables with diners in the restaurant and 5 already had food. Staff was friendly but only came... More

Recommended by the folks at the Blue Swallow. Food and atmosphere were super. The margaritas were just so-so.

Dined here as it was recommended by our motel, transport came to pick us up but did not wait and had to be called back- should have taken this as an omen and not gone. Possibly the worst Mexican food either of us has eaten- frozen microwave food is probably better. To add insult to injury the margaritas were sadly... More

Dropped in for a beer, thinking we would have dinner here later, Strange local talking to himself in the bar, but not put off. However no one on duty seemed to know where the beer was, turned out it was locked away. I don't blame the staff I think they were from the kitchen not bar staff. However scary enough... More

The Historic Pow Wow Restaurant and Lizard Lounge (as the locals call) is one of the only places to eat left in Tucumcari, NM. The town has gone the way of so many little places that were skipped by the highway! The place is a little run down and it may only be a few more years before it to... More

Had been traveling all day. Tired, it was late, and needed a drink and some supper. The Motel Safari recommended this restaurant and gave us a 10% off coupon. Kind of a weird funky vibe when you walk in (combo of an old Route 66 diner and a Mexican cantina). The food was good and reasonably priced , the wait... More

The chili rellenos plate was very good and the beef tacos very tasty. We also had a couple of the Blue Swallow margaritas which were tasty if light on the liquor.

The food here was really good. I had the enchiladas and the hubby had the combo plate. Both were very good. The service was wonderful as well. We would definitely visit again.
