Good food and atmosphere

We were camping at KOA and they suggested this place. Food was very good. Waitress was very friendly. Soups on the soup and salad bar were delicious. I had Mexican Potato soup and my husband had the Beef Noodle soup. For the entree I had trout with baked potato and corn. My husband had chicken... read more

Really sorry we chose this place to eat dinner. We ate here in 2004 and it was really good, but no longer. A shame - it's a pretty cool place. I ordered mine with no cheese and it came with cheese on it. No compensation was offered for incorrect food order. ( Didn't want to send it back because we... More

The food here was ample but certainly not outstanding and they have a good full service bar. The best feature for us was that they provide a free shuttle from the motel to the restaurant. After dinner, on our way back to our motel, our driver, Jerry, provided us with a tour of the beautiful murals on the wall of... More

Was recommended this restaurant by the Blue Swallow and it served great Mexican food and food cocktails. Value for money too and food service. Plus a surprise guest near our table.

We had dinner here on a stop during an extended road trip. We stayed at the Blue Swallow and the Pow Wow just completed our visit to Tuncumcari. The food was great and the atmosphere was friendly. We were seated in a both and I must say, the painting of patrons on the wall looked lifelike. I actually asked my... More

Food was good----beware, the night we ate there the green sauce seemed pretty spicy hot to me. I can usually eat medium heat, but this seemed more than medium and was covering everything on my platter. Waitress did say the green sauce was spicier than the red, so I was informed ahead of ordering. Someone else in our group ordered... More

Good food, reasonable prices, fun decor, delicious margaritas - we could not have wanted more. Be sure to see the giant talking lizard, and enjoy the people painted on the walls. Unique place, but no restaurant makes it without good food, and the Pow Wow Restaurant has that covered. Staff was great, too. We ordered Mexican although I think they... More

We usually stop in Tucumcari on our way east from Phoenix. This is the third time we've eaten at the Pow Wow. Each time I've had the Chili Rellanos which are pretty good. My only suggestion is that they do a better job with the egg batter coating (hardly any batter on the rellanos tonight). I always get them with... More

Upon recommendations of the locals, we had dinner here. It was a good choice. The steak was very good, hand cut on site. Decent salad bar too. Service was good . The interior booths are very interesting. The murals on the wall look like real people. Unfortunately we there mid week and there was no live entertainment.

Liked the look of the place, and overall it was ok; looked like lots of local traffic, so betting like most Mexican places you just have to figure out what they are best at fixing. Wife's dish was a chicken burrito, but mostly beans and lots of sauce. Mine was a combination and they forgot the tamale. Rest of meal... More
