Great service for tired travelers. Good food, nice atmosphere.

We arrived late, about a half hour before closing. The staff was very nice and the food was tasty. Portions were large, which was welcome as we had eaten lunch very early in the day. We especially loved the murals of diners in the booths - some realistic enough to make you look twice if you caught... read more

My husband and I ate here after driving 14 hours. We loved that they have a free shuttle since neither of us wanted to drive anymore. The man who picked us up was very nice and answered all the questions we asked him about the area. The waitress was nice. I loved our appetizer.....fried pickles and mushrooms. We ordered the... We were attracted to this because of previous reviews. The murals on the walls of the booth are so fun! Waitress was very good. Food was excellent!

There aren't many dining options in Tucumcari so this is probably the best place in town. But when we arrived right at closing -- 10 p.m. -- the staff cheerfully kept the soup and salad bar open for us. Then the chef came out and offered to cook anything on the menu -- no problem. That was a good thing... More

On the strength of other reviewers, we had dinner at the Pow Wow, both of us ordered the Roadkill. Our hamburger steaks were very passable but I just can't give the meal a higher than average rating. The salad bar was unremarkable except that the beets were not pickled, just cold canned sliced beets. The two soup offerings were both... More

We were directed to the Pow Wow restaurant by our hotel staff at the Desert Inn. At first glance we were wondering what kind of establishment this was but when you see all the vehicles parked outside you know the place must have a good reputation. The staff was very friendly and the food awesome. My husband had chicken fried... More

My wife and I stopped here today (3/15/15) on the way from OKC to Santa Fe for a vacation. We did a lot of checking of reviews and decided to try Pow Wow. We were not disappointed!!!! After much discussion with our server, we decided to have the cheeseburgers. I had fries and my wife had the onion rings. We... More

I stayed at the Blue Swallow motel and the owner (Kevin) suggested the Pow Wow and told me they delivered. I was tired so I ordered. Kevin suggested the Chile Relleno. Excellent choice. Food arrived in 15-20 minutes, was hot and delicious. Hot fresh sopapilla with honey. Excellent salsa and green chile sauce. Delivery man was very courteous.

We arrived in Tucumcari at 3:30 PM, and decided to stop here after registering in our Motel at the Blue Swallow. At 4:00 PM, there was only one other couple in the restaurant, and we were greeted immediately by Mary, who gave us an overview of the Lizard Lounge and the Pow Wow Restaurant. We started with Blue Swallow Margaritas... More

We went here for dinner since it was recommended by the Owners of the Blue Swallow Motel. We was seated immediately. Ryan was our server and he was happy and efficient. I had the chicken fried steak it came with veggies, choice of potato and one trip to soup/salad bar for $9.99. That's a great deal and the food was... More
