Super impressed with this place. We weren't sure what to expect based on the traditional looking outside but once inside everything was clean, new, and attractive. The waiter was friendly and professional and the food was great! Very nice meal!

Recommended by our motel for dinner. I had Monterey chicken and it was excellent. Guacamole was perfect. Husband had roast beef which he said was very good as well. Food was piping hot when it was brought to the table. Portions were more than enough. Salad bar was fresh and had a great variety. Chips and salsa were tasty and... More

The steak was done to perfection, and the gravy had a lot of flavor. The entree comes with a trip to the salad bar (you get both a soup and a salad with it). I'll be eating here again.

I tasted the chicken livers the next day, awful. They appeared big but were mainly batter. Too bad that a classic diner serves such bad food.

This is our second time stopping in Tucumcari, New Mexico. We ate at Del's the last time we were here, and the food was good and inexpensive, so we stopped here again. I had "one-trip" to the soup & salad bar. More than enough (good) food to eat.

Love these places on Route 66 unchanged since 1950's. Clean and friendly. Fresh salad bar and two hot soup choices free with the liver and onions. Owner checks on every table. Great service and good food at great prices!

Coming home from a California trip to visit family, my husband and I kept to the plan to drive as much of the Mother Road as we could. We had made reservations in Tucumcari, New Mexico and so, after stowing our luggage in our room we headed towards the old Route 66 road. We cruised the highway and found a... More

I agree with the praises of other travelers. The salad bar is excellent with very good dressings. I had chili lime haddock and it was perfectly cooked - crisp, not overbreaded outside with moist fish. My husband had chicken fried steak, and he said the breading was excellent - crispy and tasty - but that the meat was a little... More

We were visiting for Rockabilly on the Route and enjoyed our dinner. The staff was great even though we were in the middle of an incredible thunderstorm! Their New Mexican cuisine was really enjoyed by several of our group and definitely a good choice to order.

Recommended by the hotel employees, this was a great surprise. The meals were great and the waitress was top notch. Not a fancy restaurant, but don't let the looks fool you. Prices are average and affordable. The chef knows his/her business.
