Very friendly and attentive waitress. Food was excellent. Steak was tender and well cooked. Try the chicken fried steak as it is to die for.

Salad bar, grilled chicken, steaks, nice large room. Very good service. All on Route 66. My husband had a baked potato with his dinner that was fab. Amazing how many places don't know how to make a good baked potato.

We travel I-40 a lot but have never stopped at Del's. We will definitely stop again. The hand cut hand breaded steak fingers with white cream gravy were an excellent comfort food. They also have a real salad bar, which seem to be disappearing. All the vegetables were fresh and presented nicely. Our server, Renee, was friendly, courteous, and helpful.... More

While traveling on a bus tour through Tucumcari, we ate at Del's. Althought, in the interest of speed, we had limited menu choices, everyone in our group of 42 left feeling satisfied. I can attest to the fact that items on the salad bar were fresh, plentiful, and nicely presented (not bagged salad, as I had read I other reviews.)... More

Del's was recommended by a woman at the Dinosaur Museum-- she said it had been around for years. This sounded like the kind of place we needed on a wet day (yes, it rained in New Mexico!) It is a large place with several seating areas. We were promptly seated at a corner table by a window, great for people... More

I love Del's! I will insist on going there every time I visit Tucumcari from now on. The salsa was the best I've ever had, I bought two jars to take home with me! My chicken quesadilla was fabulous! Grilled, fresh, just the right amount of crispy. The service was great too, the locals seem to really love it, everyone... More

If you ever visit Tucumcari, do yourself a favor and go to Del's. We were camping at the Cactus RV Park and walked to Del's. It looks plain on the outside but it was very nice on the inside. We had some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. The beans and rice were special. The meal was topped... More

We had plenty of time to google restaurants in the Tucumcari area on our cross-country drive. We weren't really sure which to choose on Route 66. Thankfully, we were not disappointed with our experience at Del's. The salad bar was yummy and fresh and our steaks were so satisfying. The mashed potatoes rocked! We would be remiss not to mention... More

The food was only ok. The salad bar had "bagged" salad and packaged veggies, potato salad, macaroni salad, etc. Seemed like about the only place in town to eat and was the locals spot.
