Surprisingly Satisfying

As best we could figure out, there are 2 of these restaurants in Taos. We called the southern one and there was a 45 minute wait. So we called the northern one and they said that we could come right in. It is located in a strip mall and it is pretty large inside. The program is to order and... read more

The staff were friendly and accommodating but the food was just okay. The margarita was good though.

Two Places in Taos one on each end of the Main Drag. We have eaten at both. Great New Mexican food. Casual place, easy to order, fast service. Nice outdoor eating area with great sunset.

Went to the north location with family for a quick bite for lunch. Man taking order at counter not super friendly especially to new customers not familiar with menu (it's large and overwhelming!) Food delivered to our table with no silverware; was not sure if we were to get our own? Food pretty tastless, not authentic at all.No real help... More

A good standby for New Mexican food in a very casual atmosphere. Prices are fairly reasonable, and portions are generous. It is close to the Sage Brush Inn, and several from our convention went there for meals during our event. However, during our convention, several people had their credit card numbers or cards taken.

While the staff was outstanding and the service was very good, the food was pretty bland. It was ok. Nothing special. You have to pay for the chips and salsa and the salsa wasn't hot at all. Bland. The margaritas were good. Overall for what your paying ,we did not think it was a good value.

Not fancy at all but delicious food especially the Chili Rellanos. We were entering Taos from the west early on a Sunday afternoon and noticed this little place with pick-up trucks and other local vehicles. Asked a friendly lady in line what she recommended and she said it was all good.

My wife and I ate here while visiting Taos. We ate at the northern one. Our food was average at best. Not sure why so many locals seem to eat here. Poor mood in this restaurant...everone eats in one BIG room. You go to front to order and they bring it to you. I had a Chimichanga which I rarely... More

Better than the average fast food joint but don't expect fine dining. Decent Mexican food if a bit heavy on the grease quotient. They are very accommodating if you want to hold the onions or even have extra spicy. Love the seafood dishes. Have even held meetings in the back tables of Guad-North.

We got into Taos pretty late in the day and were surprised to see that most businesses (including restaurants) were CLOSED by 9pm on a Friday night. BUT, we stumbled upon this jewel, and we were in heaven. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the portions were great, price was right. If you're looking for a romantic dinner... More
