The Guadalajara Grill offers the most authentic Mexican food I have tried. My cousin, a native Taos resident, let me know there is New Mexican food and Mexican food. This place is Mexican. They have the best fish tacos anywhere. Also, available are peppers to have with your order. This place is a must go for the real deal. The... More

I've been to this location of the Guadalajara Grill several times and have even brought out-of-town guests here. The service is always fast, even when the place is packed. (Diners order at the counter, then are given a number to place on their table. Staff brings the freshly prepared food to the table.) I do like the decor better at... More

Took forever to order at the counter and the trip to wash my hands was long and frustrated by a lack of paper towels in the rest room. Food appeared quickly, though. My enchiladas were fine, but I thought the tortillas were a bit soggy. My husband’s chile relleno was HUGE, very heavily breaded and a touch undercooked. Rice and... More

Visiting Taos on vacation, we decided to stop here based on the reviews. We had the barbacoa tacos and the beef enchiladas with red chili. The place does NOT live up to the reviews. Let's start with the positive: service was prompt and accurate, the restaurant was clean. Having said that, the food was bland. There was no spice or... More

The folks where we stayed recommended this place and one other for our first night in town. My wife and I had the fajitas, beef and chicken. The beef was cut into shoe-string size strips and was crispy. The chicken was over cooked and dry. The rice was tasteless and the beans were equally bland. The margaritas and the staff... More

Not much open on Sunday late afternoon as we returned from a motorcycle cruise ... This place was exactly what we needed! Cold drinks, great Mexican food, outdoor seating. We really enjoyed Shrimp Guadalajara and Chicken Monterrey, Ceviche and agave margaritas on the patio.

We looked up some reviews of Mexican food in Taos and found this establishment to be promising. We ordered a cheese enchilada, beef taco and the Guadalajara Shrimp. Everything was pretty standard, nothing exceptional or out of the ordinary, it was simply good Mexican food.

I was instructed to visit this restaurant by a friend who has a vacation house in Taos, so my expectations were high. The interior was depressing, but I thought, "Oh, OK, so it's just authentic." Wrong. Hardly any flavor compared with the Tex-Mex I'm used to. Servers were very friendly, though. Overall, I wouldn't go again.

On a recommendation to joined to line at Guadalajara for dinner. Ordering process is a little slow, but the orders came out hot and correct. Wife had Carnitas which were very good and I had enchiladas with traditional green chili sauce. Meal was great, and service after ordering was good. It is a little nicer than an fast food place,...
