Good Coffee, Interesting Establishment

First, I really liked the coffee, it was the best I had in Taos for sure and among the better of northern New Mexico. Prices are a little high, but nothing terrible and they don't take credit cards. For the coffee, I totally recommend it. The atmosphere was a little weird, but not necessarily... read more

Wife and daughter love coffee. Was great to find this coffee right in the plaza! Great coffee and service. Would definitely stop by again on our next trip to Taos, NM!

Staff here were very lackluster it seemed. Not something you want to be next to when you are starting your day. Already had run out of an item on the menu and no room to turn around when so many people are cramped inside. Very hot even though it was in the 30's outside. I will probably try someplace else... When I first moved to Taos, I was a little dismayed that there wasn't a Starbucks within 50 miles. Thankfully, I've learned to embrace, love, and adore local coffee. My favorite drink from World Cup is the Mexican Hot Chocolate. Soo yummy.

Delicious coffee and loads of political stickers, wade through the front porch Taos characters (or those wanting to be one) for a tasty Americana..Bring cash - much friendlier to hippies and anglos than brown locals-

Our first trip here we didn't have cash, and had missed the sign which stated they only accepted cash. They directed us to an ATM across the Plaza, which ended up to be out of service. We were able to go back the following day and I was very impressed with their regular coffee. Though I was far less impressed... More

This is not so much about the coffee, which is good enough, but about the local characters who go in there. Since many people know each other, they catch up while in line and just sitting there you hear the ongoings of a a very unusual type of crowd, including hippies, artists, pseudo-artists, yogites, and general free spirits.

I am just giving this an average without tasting their coffee so don't take that as a true review. I went in to get an iced latte but the only one they served was a bittersweet chocolate one. So I didn't get one. That is the only reason for that review. I truly don't know how good their coffee is.... More

Fabulous array of beverages in the coffee and chocolate arena. Funky interior with paper currencies from across the globe and a great selection of art postcards. Not enough choices in the edible department. Friendly baristas and this place is a favorite with the locals. Was quite marvelous to sit outside and watch the world go by.

We decided to try World Cup on a recommendation from another vendor on the square. They were quite busy, and the line was almost to the front door. Despite this, our wait didn't take long (maybe 5 minutes) and the barista was very pleasant; taking time to answer our questions and even make suggestions. Our drinks were wonderful! I'm so... More
