Unexpected Find

We went for coffee and left with a new favorite. We ordered a Mocha Mexicana and we were presently surprised.

Ordered 2 Americanos. They are very hot. Asked for a sleeve. Was told not to politely, we don't have any. Asked about an extra cup. Was told you will have to pay for it. Told me to use a napki . Never been to a coffee place that did not have sleeves or charged for another cup. Wish we'd taken... More

They had very good coffee! The service was excellent offered a credit card and I think they said no credit cards? The staff seemed very friendly. I had the Americana cup and it was , way above average and the banana nut bread was good. We will make sure we visit again and try other coffees! Just wish they had... More

I had the Orange mocha and loved it! No one in my home town makes it. I attempt to do my best at home, but it's not the same. I would make the trip back to Taos just to go to the World Cup!

Crowded café with good coffee (though not as good as Ohori's served down the road). Lots of attitude behind and in front of the counter, but get the sense that it what customers want. I'd just buy a pound and brew it at home rather than endure the elbow pushing inside.

After spending time in Taos square, we stopped by this place for a cup of coffee before heading to the hotel. It offered some nice coffee and different drinks but most importantly it served as a nice local gathering place that a visitor like me can sit to observe the daily life here. My two under aged kids enjoyed the... More

We were missing Starbucks but were told by the folks at El Pueblo Lodge that World Cup had the next best cup of coffee in town. We tried it and went back 4 times in 3 days. Great service as well.

Near the center of Taos near the Plaza is a small coffee shop-World Cup. There are a few stools inside and in the summer you can sit on the stoop or take your drink around the corner to the Plaza. World Cup has serious baristas and expresso drinks-a few light cakes and scones and bagels, but the coffee drinks are... More

Don't miss World Cup on your trip to Taos. This tiny cafe is a major social center, and is the local equivalent of an Irish Pub - serving coffee. A wide variety of local and out-of-town characters pass through, providing superb people watching and a chance to overhear a memorable conversation. Enjoy the entertaining anti-establishment bumper stickers while chatting with... More
