Great lunch

This is one of if not the oldest building in Taos. We ate out on the patio since the weather was perfect. We all ordered the carne adovado. It was delicious !! And very filling. A little spicy but just the right amount. The Cesar salad was the right cooling touch. Service was expedient and... read more

Tried to sit outside, but the smoke was overpowering. This looked like a place for local hippies of yesterday.

We decided to eat here just on a whim. It was time to eat and we found ourselves in front of this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. The story of the place on the back of the menu is quite a story. As it turns out, it is one of the oldest places in Taos! The... More

We stopped in while visiting the plaza at Taos NM. The service was great and the food was very good. Am sure at night my be more of a jumping party place than it was middle of the afternoon but we were pleased with the quality of the food and service. Put it on our list of places to return... More

Setting is awesome, service is fast, however I'm afraid I cannot say the food is delicious. It is Mexican fare. We saw mostly local people there.

One a slow Sunday in June, my husband and I walked past this restaurant and decided to try it for lunch. We were not impressed with either the quality of the food or the service despite its very central location immediately off the plaza. After seating ourselves outside on the patio, we waited and waited for our waiter. To be... More

Great beers, great waitresses, nice seating outside and in, and very laid back place to remember your hippy days.

This is a Mexican restaurant that is located at the end of a walk way and alley way in the Plaza area. We first went there and it was jam packed at lunch time. It is better to go early or after lunch in order to get a seat. We had the enchiladas and they were delicious. The service is... More

We asked a clerk where to eat in downtown Taos. Her immediate recommendation was the Alley Cantina. Tucked away down an alley on the NW corner of the square was real find. Great atmosphere, good service, and great food. Fish and chips is reported to be their specialty dish, but the enchiladas were first rate. The queso was the best... More

We had a large party of 10 and they were very accommodating. Food was great and drinks were even better. Happy hour was until 7pm. They had an excellent jazz band the Sunday evening we were there. They also had games such as pool, shuffleboard, and others.
