We chose this restaurant because we wanted something more creative and an intimate atmosphere. The food was unique and delightful. I had the Meditteraneum seafood soup and it was excellent. The desert was wonderful. The room was cozy and quiet, even after most of the tables were filled. But don't come here if you're really hungry. They charge for the... More

We went here on Father's Day...while there is no website for this restaurant, we had been able to see some past menus which peaked our interest. We arrived for our 6:30 reservation and were surprised that there was just one other table seated - once they left, we had the place to ourselves! The owner was attentive to our requests... More

Went expecting a wonderful dining experience somewhat based on the rating number. Very small, not many tables and only 2 people consisting of the chef and the server. Ordered salad which was maybe $9 and consisted of spinach with the stems still on for God's sake, a few pecans and other non memorable items. Our main courses were equally forgettable... More

I am so glad I got to experience this restaurant!! Gracious dining from the moment you walk in the door. Nothing pretentious, but they could be, based on the superb food. Attentive, but not pushy. The salad and the dessert were delicious....I wanted to try everything on the menu.

Had a high expectations due to the reviews but was sorely disappointed. Service was slow Even though there were only two people in the restaurant. There was no house Chardonnay your only selection Sauvignon blanc and Pinot Grigio. We ordered two glasses of wine at nine dollars a piece , the serving size was very stingy no more than 3... More

Scott has a small but fabulous menu with a great wine list as well. Open for dinner only, and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, so plan your trip on a night when Byzantium is open. You will be amazed.

I had not been back to Byzantium in several years and really don't know why. We decided to give it a try Sat night. First off, the owner, Scott, is great. He's so calm and pleasant. I love the decor, the lamp above our table was my favorite (only about eight tables and each one has a different lamp). It's... More

Like some of the other reviewers, we were in the middle of a long road trip. Our Sunday dinner of salad, chicken, bread pudding and a nice bottle of Spanish red was so perfectly suited. As others have noted, this is a labour of love for the proprietor and (small) staff; it shows up in the food and the atmosphere.... More

We had read good things about this small Taos restaurant, and - even with those high expectations – this surprised us. Wonderful ambience – glowing colourful lamps, a spacious but intimate dining room – and really pleasant service. I was only wanting a light meal – 6 weeks on the road and eating out constantly was beginning to take its... More

Often overlooked, this place has an intimate + interesting vibe and decor. Not overcrowded with tables. Best filet mignon and fish dishes. Perfectly sized menu. Slower pace to be thoroughly enjoyable Date night destination.
