Superb Mexican cuisine. Had the breakfast burrito with green chile and loved every bite of it. Busy most mornings, but worth the wait.

To be truthful, the food is only slightly above average, but the place is just a great 'jam' of every type of person within the locals and tourist groups. The place is packed ALL the time. Personal fave: german pancakes filled with lemon butter. Caution: this is a temple of cholesterol and transfats!

For me a trip to Taos must include a visit to Michael's! The smell of the pastries calls to me even though I limit my intake these days. Good food choices for visitors with different preferences.

Come with an appetite as you will have an abundance of food to eat. I ordered tacos which came with a huge portion of beans and rice. Husband had a burrito. Neither of us could finish the food and had to take it back to the hotel. Service was good and friendly. When we walked a little further into the... More

Historic and fun! Had breakfast here-Their pasties were great & their special coffee was amazing. A large menu made for tough decisions-as all looked good! The old pot belly stove contributed to the ambiance along with the men in cowboy hats sitting at the coffee bar. We got some things to go for later as well. Great little spot

Recommended by the visitors center, we went for lunch. Perhaps because we only ordered one sandwich to split, the waiter never came back. Had to get someone else to refill drinks. The food was good, as well as the pecan roll we took with us.

Two of us had lunch here. Service was good and portions were large. We shared the Stuffed Soppillas and the ground beef had a re-heated taste but the Green Chili was very good. They have a bakery in the front and everything looked amazing. Still wish I would have tried the pastries!

Michael's was recommended to us by family who live in N.M. It didn't disappoint. Portions are huge. I had a very large scoop of guacamole on my Indian taco. We watched a young man at an adjacent table study and finally eat a mammoth burger. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Taos.

It really was very average. Service wasn't great and whether it was because we were there mid-afternoon, the bakery selection was poor and what we did have - choc chip muffin - was on the dry side. Nothing to write home about and nothing to encourage us to return.
