Michael's is both a bakery and a restaurant. The food is very good in the restaurant. No alcohol is served. The bakery shelves are a treat to see and staff will make recommendations. They will also fix sandwiches to go if you must be on your way. Made with their freshly baked break it makes for an enjoyable picnic later.... More

Breakfast was so good we came back for lunch! Indian taco was great. The wait staff is excellent. Came back to check our drinks several times and very friendly and efficient! Place is nothing fancy but clean. Reminds me of places my parents took me on road trips down Route 66! Love this place.

We stopped at the Visitor's Center and the worker suggested Michael's for lunch. We had incredible food throughout our trip but this was my favorite!!! I had chile rellano and my husband had a pork tamales - both were to die for. Lunch was served with something like a thick tortilla with honey butter - oh man, so delicious. I... More

Stopped in one morning and picked up a couple donuts. They were so good we had to go back and try out their food, so we had lunch there. It was very good also. Then we had to get more baked goods. They have an amazing selection of donuts, pies, cookies, etc.!

Open at 7 for you early risers, Michaels Kitchen was such a treat! They serve anything from regular eggs and breakfast meats to southwestern takes on a typical breakfast. Also, they have waffles, pancakes and a variety of crepes, including my personal favorite, cheese blintzes. Truly something for everyone!

I base my travel on reviews from trip advisor this one was way off. Everyone has a bad day but, gnats and food are gross. I looked in the donut case while waiting for a table and a flying insect landed on the donut. I thought ok I won't have a donut. Our server must he be been new my... More

with bacon crumbles, maple syrup and over easy eggs. Big mugs of fresh coffee. The reverent silence as that first bite of waffle melts on your tongue! Or perhaps you'll have the huevos rancheros with green chili sauce! Michael's is a Taos institution for a reason. The food is great, the servings are large and you can get a vegetarian... More

Read the reviews and had to experience Michaels Kitchen. Great spot for a unique breakfast and incredible pastries galore. So many unique items for breakfast as well as the usual suspects. Atmosphere very cool and comfortable. Breakfast enchiladas incredible but save room for the pastries! The bacon/green chile maple glazed donut rocked our world!!!! Well worth the 40 min wait... More

Michael's Kitchen was one of the few restaurants open on Sunday night. They were quite busy after a terrible storm blew through Taos. We had the dish that for us defines New Mexican cooking - chiles rellenos with green chile sauce. We were happy to find they had a delicious vegetarian green chile sauce as well as the usual meat... Great place for breakfast. Large servings of New Mexican style food. Great food, great location but know that you will probably have to wait for a table. We ate there twice for breakfast this trip and I have eaten there many times before. Great service in a small town cafe feel. Loved the breakfast enchiladas. On-site bakery for dining in... More
