This is the place people go for breakfast. Vegetarian friendly. The service is fast and they also have a bakery.

Get there early as there is most often a wait. Food is very good. You might want to try the bacon topped doughnut.

Our hotel front desk recommended Michael's Kitchen and we were not disappointed! Both my companion and I had three egg omelettes which were well prepared and plenty of food for the money. This is a very busy place (they also have a marvelous bakery for carryout as well) but we were seated quickly and attended to promptly. If we had... More

I am a New Mexico green chile addict (there, I said it!). I always make it a point to stop at Michael's Kitchen for breakfast/lunch. They can accommodate a large crowd quickly so don't walk away if you see a line out the restaurant. I was a little disappointed with the flavor of the green chile on this trip, but... More

Michael's had that warm familiar feeling about it. Friendly people, they were very busy and kept things moving along. The eggs, toast, bacon, pancakes were all very good. Will dive into the bakery on our next visit.

Reliable good food. Fast friendly, efficient. A lot of local color as well as tourists to do people watching. A long time Taos tradition. We do breakfasts here a lot. Lunch is good, but almost too much food for us. A great family restaurant.

I've been coming to Michael's for years. Why? Because I've never found anything as good! Wonderful new mexican taste, this place has it.

What can I say about Michael's Kitchen that hasn't already been said a million times. Michael's Kitchen is legendary in Taos for their exceptional baked goods as well as the wonderful food in the café. I highly recommend their Breakfast Enchilidas and the Roadrunner sandwich - they have good burgers too. Actually, everything on the menu is excellent. The service... More

Not sure if they're made on site or sourced locally, but the corn tortillas in their breakfast burrito were absolutely perfect...so good they sent my boyfriend in a desperate quest to make a corn tortilla just like the one he had at Michael's (still working on that). Throw in the fantastic pastries and comfy, throwback decor and it's clear why... More

We went to Michael's for breakfast and were not disappointed. I had the blue corn and piñon pancakes which had a wonderful flavor and texture. My husband enjoyed his egg sandwich plate. The service was excellent. Our glasses were constantly filled. Their menu has a great selection and is sure to please everyone e's appetite.
