Great Atmosphere

I loved the atmosphere and the staff were really nice. We got lucky and there were some local folks playing wonderful Celtic music. I hate to say it, but I did not enjoy their IPA: it tasted more like a wheat beer and wasn't hoppy or bold whatsoever. At a steep $5 a pint it was a... read more

A friend of mine told me to have the chile beer. Go on - have one. It's not overpowering, but a nice full hint of green chile without heat. You can't buy their chile beer anywhere else apparently, so you'll have to get it there! The menu was full of common bar food items - burgers, brats, and of course,... More

Yes it's that kind of place... a locals hangout and they serve comfy food! Pay attention to the brew menu as they have some pretty interesting beers on tap!

This place is a small local place. You can expect a lot of locals hanging out there having some burgers or vegan menu choices. However a great surprise was its selection of local brews. They offers beer flight which they are not stingy with. The burger I ordered was hot and came with home made mayo. Do not be fooled... More

Eske's website mistakenly indicated that they were open on a Sunday at 10am when in reality it should have said 12pm. We arrived at 1030-45am and the owners opened up for us. Then we were treated to a most delicious portobello mushroom burger. I can't remember all the ingredients or the sauce but it was delicious. Enjoyed a flight of... More

While visiting Taos we were looking for a local Brew Pub...and this place came up on our Brewery Passport app. A little hard to find, tucked in behind a parking lot in a old pueblo building. Small, few tables and we sat at the bar. Ordered IPA and green chile stew....it was terrific on this cold day. Good pub menu... More

As a home brewer, I'm always on the look out for really good, local brews. New Mexico is a haven for fine beers, but finding brew made locally...REALLY locally is a treat. Eske's has been making magic out of grains for a long time and they're still doing it right. No need for reservations, no jacket required. Sit outside if... More

Drove from Minnesota, first time in Taos. Found Eske's and found our new hang out spot. Family of six, all grown kids, everyone enjoyed the beer and food and service. Would go back in a heart beat.

There was a great band of locals playing banjos, guitars, violins and singing bluegrass. The popcorn shrimp tacos were wonderful. I highly recommend the green chile beer.
