Lambert’s of Taos is located on 123 Bend Street just a few yards west of El Paseo del Pueblo Norte. The restaurant occupies the home the Oakley family built in 1903. It was the home of the Apple Tree Restaurant for over 25 years. The rooms in the restaurant are ample, cozy and elegant. The patio is shaded by the apple tree.The... More

Excellent food and service. A combination of European and Southwestern tasty food. A bit spendy, but worth it, especially for a special occasion. A lovely courtyard for outside dining; a noisy but fun bar in the "Treehouse" on the second floor. In the middle of the Taos shopping area on Bent St. Don't miss it!

I had the New Mexican pork sandwich, and my friend had one of the specials (blackened salmon sandwich). I sampled both of them, and mine was very average - it was basically a pulled pork sandwich minus the barbecue sauce. Was supposedly cooked with red chili, but to me, was very bland. My friend's sandwich was much better and had... More

For years we have enjoyed fine meals at Lambert's of Taos, and were disappointed to see that their location was vacant. To our delight, they have moved to the location of another of our favorite restaurants, The Apple Tree, which closed a couple of years ago. It is a charming adobe with a lovely courtyard where we had appetizers and... More

My husband and I hadn't been to Lambert's since their move and ownership change. In the past we would drive up to Taos from Santa Fe for an overnight stay just to eat at Lambert's, a five-star experience located in a cozy house set back from the main road. Now located off the plaza in a two-story, adobe building, the... More

Went on a sat night (6:30ish), yes busy, but never busy enough to justify rude and retalitory. Waited at the bar for over 30 minutes watching two very unprofessional staff try to cram in more tippers than they can manage (I mean sloppy service) then had to deal with the same staff acting punk for simply asking for an item... First time we've eaten in Lambert's since they changed locations. I love the new restaurant - a beautiful restoration/renovation that has clean lines and a good atmosphere. There are several small rooms which add an intimacy to the restaurant that was not possible in the old location. We had just arrived in Taos on our way to the ski valley... More

Lambert's in its former location along the main street was, in my opinion, probably the best restaurant in New Mexico. The former location had an elegance about it that they have not been able to recapture in the current location near the Plaza. The interior of the new location is somewhat austere. However, the patio is delightful and we ate... More

What a wonderful experience! Lambert's has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff and the food was very fresh. The beet salad was delicious, with fresh greens, creamy cheese and an ample portion of beets. Although we'd ordered medium rare filets they were prepared medium, and as soon as we brought this to the attention of the... More
