I decided to eat dinner at KTAO Station Bar during happy hour before a showing of the documentary Bringing It Home. I chose a cheese quesadilla ($4) and because I was worried about small happy hour portions, I also ordered a basket of fries ($2). I got plenty of food for my $6! In fact, I got so much food,... Trying to decide on a different place to eat in Taos, my wife & I happened upon the KTAOS bar/grill. It's a pretty cool place to dine & drink as the DJ booth for the KTAOS radio station is right there within view of the dining area. The food menu is simple, burgers & fun appetizers. My wife had the... More

This place has good happy hour specials on appetizers. I did get a sandwich last time I was there, I think a portobello mushroom sandwich. Whatever it was, it was good. This place has free WiFi too, which is always a plus. Opens at 4pm.

I checked out a few different places on TripAdvisor and thought that KTAO would be an interesting place to grab dinner. We headed out around 9 p.m. on a Saturday night (a little late) and found the venue easily. There was a $5 cover at the door because a DJ and drummer were performing. We were greeted promptly by the... More

KTAOS station bar was a pleasant surprise that we happened to find by accident. We were staying at a house 3 miles down the road and wanted something close for dinner the first night we arrived. We were a little wary about the place at first - it didn't look very kid-friendly from the outside, but we sent our "scouts"... More

This is truly one of the most spectacular bars I've ever been in. The view of the mountains is just amazing. The drinks and service were average, but the view... oh, the view!

Stopped in by chance while we were headed back to Arroyo Seco. Drove by and saw a sign for "the Ultimate Led Zepplin Expierence" and had to see it. Got tickets and ate while we waited for the show to start. Super busy evening and it took about 45 minutes. Not too bad considering. The Alpine Swiss burger wasn't bad... More

Great music, food and beer! Nice and relaxing and I didn't feel like a tourist! They have IPA on tap!

Very cool place to go and have a drink. Beer prices are great, happy hour is even better. Music and atmosphere are excellent. The menu is sparce but enough to get you by.

Unlike any bar I've ever been in-- drinking right next to the Taos solar DJ booth. The view toward the building is amazing. We walked here from our b&b (stayed at the Cottonwood Inn) and it only took about 15 minutes. It is a road with some traffic, so the walk might not be for everyone. Still, after several drinks...
