Our favorite place to eat in Taos!

We eat at Yu Garden at least 3 times a month. We love the food as well as the friendly atmosphere. Amanda and Sam run the restaurant and make an effort to greet all customers. I love the Chile Pop, which is a chile stuffed with cream cheese and crab and fried in Tempura batter, served as sushi on... read more

Five of us ordered five dishes to share family style. There was a mix-up with dishes with our order and that of a nearby table. It wasn't a big deal – we actually wound up with six dishes – we didn't have to pay for the extra one delivered by mistake. We all enjoyed the food. Even with an extra... More

Very friendly wait staff. Tasty food. If you're not after New Mexican food this is a good choice considering the variety and price.

I don't understand how this restaurant got so many good reviews. On on the plus side they probably don't use MSG as they say they don't, but then the food doesn't have much flavor either. the wonton soup was one of the worst I've ever had (bland dark brown with a few bits of scallion) and I've eaten Chinese food... First the positives. The portions were plentiful. The service was extremely quick. I ordered General chicken and white rice. The rice was very good fluffy and not at all pasty. The general chicken have a bit of an aftertaste to it and I must say I was disappointed in the flavor. Altogether for entrée it was around $12. On a... More

Love these folks! Very accommodating for those of us with gluten allergies. I get the Lemon Chicken and steamed rice with a side of their cold sesame oil seaweed salad. Yum, yum! The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Their menu is large and everything is good according to all my friends you eat there. I stick with the Lemon... More

We had the spicy eggplant. The vegetable were cut too large. More difficult to eat. But the flavors were delicious. A sweet spicy flavor. Service was friendly and prompt. We recommend this comfortable good Chinese restaurant. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Yu Garden has the BEST combination fried rice and spring rolls that I have ever experienced...and I lived in San Francisco for over 10 years. I HIGHLY recommend it if you have your taste set for excellent Chinese food.
