Pasta with a Hollywood Flair

This Italian restaurant at the upper end of Ledoux Sreet has a nice menu of Italian and simple pasta dishes. The décor features old black and white posters of stars from the '30s, '40s and '50s, and the food is as dependable as the stars once were. A pleasant place to relax after spending an hour... read more

I have celiac disease so it is a delight when I discover an Italian restaurant that has gluten free pasta. Not only was my pasta Bolognese dish delicious, but I wasn't charged extra because it was gluten free. It was preceded by a generous spinach salad. If I ever vacation in Taos again, this will be my first dinner stop.... More

Cozy and intimate Italian restaurant. We shared a pizza, which was excellent. They had some live music the evening that we went and they were very good. Good service and friendly people.

Feeling the urge for a heaping dish of pasta in the land of chile. Stella's recommended to me by a server at Eske's . Variety of choices on the menu. Enjoyed the squash ravioli and house red. All was good! Two comments: Need better lighting in the place. Service was indifferent and mechanical (was dining alone and sat at bar).... More

the best meal I've had in a year! Presentation was excellent and my entrée wsas served on a warm spinach salad. It does not get any better. Wine list was superb!

Almost gave up on finding somewhere good to eat on a quick overnight trip to Taos when we discovered Stella's. Very welcoming and nice atmosphere on a cold, damp evening. Both the minestrone and portobello soups were excellent, as was the sea scallops served on a bed of spinach, asparagus and pasta. Nice presentation and very tasty. Thought we'd try... More

This place was recommended by one of the shop owners in the plaza. My wife and I both had the Chicken Parmigiana. Angel hair pasta that came with it was good and the bread was good. Chicken Parmigiana was bland not very tasty, tomato sauce was not very good . Prices were high and service was average. I would pass... More

We had dinner here and enjoyed the entire experience very much. The ambience of the room is very nice and romantic; it was quiet with only 5 tables seated. We were met immediatey and seated. The table was set with a large candle and the typical red and white check Italian tablecloth. Having a light appetite we ordered a pizza... More

Always dependable for great pasta and warm family atmosphere Stella's does not disappoint. On a cold damp night we found ourselves returning to this favorite for our favorite salmon with angel hair pasta done to perfection with a light sauce. A great respite from traditional New Mexican cuisine served by Marcos, the owner, a consummate host making everyone feel welcome.

We had a hard time finding a restaurant that was open for dinner and luckily found this place. The food was quick and delicious. We had our kids with us so speed of service was important for us. We had a mishap with our wine service, but otherwise I would highly recommend Stella's.
