The is a new restaurant which replaced Ogilivie's right on the Plaza in Taos. It is a casual restaurant, with a mune that reflect it's SM location, though is by no means "Mexican" completely. WE had a combinations of startes and salads, all of which are excellent; The Bison Sliders were supurb. The balcony overlooking the Plaza is a wonderful place to watch the activity in the Plaza - the only outdoor eating on the Plaza. They have a full bar, and excellent staff who are all very jazzed about being part of this new venture. It is a definite place for a simple but interesting meal.

Late lunch with a view

We ate out on the pretty patio overlooking the square. Our waiter was friendly, prompt and efficient. My daughter and I ordered salads - the steak salad and the Cobb salad. Both portions were large, and there was a lot of steak. The salads were fresh and crisp and hit the spot, but nothing... read more

We had lunch one day at The Gorge, and had also had dinner there last year. Excellent food and service. The steak salad was great!

If you are use to authentic New Mexican food, flavor and green chili this does not fit the mark. Had nacho and found the, to be extreme bland. Enchilada was a little better. Nice happy hour prices but be sure to specify happy hour drink. Staff was polite and helpful

We were hot and thirsty after a full day at the Taos Pueblo and surrounding areas. Right on the Plaza, while our wives shopped we decided to hit the Gorge. Great 3 dollar gin and tonics, with several TVs showing the sports events. A great way to spend an hour or so...

Not good. Can't say anything about the food cause we didn't get any. We were told there was a ten minute wait; but the place was almost empty with staff walking around without purpose. Waited a good twenty and went down the street to Eskes. Much better service!!

There's not many places to eat within walking distance downtown at night but this is one! Very consistent quality. Guac is good can run a little of the hot side w jalapeños but good. Rita's are good! The nachos are great but HUGE! Buff Sliders good. Love the T shirts!

Bison Sliders were great. Highly recommend them. Nice patio overlooking the plaza. Good beers on tap as well. Good service. Nice people.

Ok so they have reasonable prices on most dishes except the salmon $18 for the smallest piece they could find. Bathrooms completely unkept which is a true sign of poor management. It gets better had to ask for silverware which should be given when seated, seriously that is 101 for restaurants. Then waitress left prior guests check on our table... More

This restaurant is located right on the Taos Town Square. Great place for cocktails while others drift and shop. The enchiladas were delicious as were the margaritas. Our waiter was quick and on point. A large rain storm came up while we had pre-dinner cocktails and he had no problem holding our table while we went on the patio to... More

The Gorge was my hangout when I was in Taos this July. A large bar (rare in Taos), there was always room to sit. The bartenders were friendly and within a few minutes I was always neck-deep in a conversation with some friendly local or another tourist - straight, gay, male, female - no one cares here. There's a large... More
