Description: The is a new restaurant which replaced Ogilivie's right on the Plaza in Taos. It is a casual restaurant, with a mune that reflect it's SM location, though is by no means "Mexican" completely. WE had a combinations of startes and salads, all of which are excellent; The Bison Sliders were supurb. The balcony overlooking the Plaza is a wonderful place to watch the activity in the Plaza - the only outdoor eating on the Plaza. They have a full bar, and excellent staff who are all very jazzed about being part of this new venture. It is a definite place for a simple but interesting meal.

You would think that Taos New Mexico would be FULL of great places to eat green chile, but in fact there are very few restaurants that offer green chile, especially not green chili stew. Sure, there is plenty of good eating in the small, cozy northern New Mexican town, but not that many places to indulge in the regional pastime,... More

Went there for a light lunch. Ordered a cup of soup and Nachos. The cup of soup was huge and the Nachos were served piled high on a baking dish. All was delicios. The beef stew had great flavor, as dd the tomato based veggie soup. Every item we ordered tasted uniquely different from the other. We overrate. So we... More

If you are ever shopping downtown Taos, take a break at the Gorge Bar and Grill. The atmosphere is great, family oriented. There is a separate bar area, if you just want a drink. The food was great and service was awesome!

Taos is not a "late" town. Fortunately when we arrived, this place was still serving! Nothing special, but a lifesaver on this particular night.

We chose the Gorge Bar and Grill for lunch after a clerk in a nearby store recommended the place for very good regional food, excellent service, a friendly vibe, and moderate prices. He was right on all counts. We weren’t very hungry, so we decided on a split order of the sirloin taco entree. I also ordered a glass of... More

The Gorge Bar and Grill has one of the best locations in Taos overlooking the Plaza. In the summer you can sit out on their balcony and in the winter, inside by the fire. They have done a good job of turning the design of the restaurant into an open, contemporary space. Their food is very good showing attention to... More

I don't understand other reviews. We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate there both nights we were in town. Staff was attentive without being a bother. For a nice restaurant price was not expensive. Love the ambiance. Sat be the fire and enjoyed a very pleasant evening.

Great service - Zach was a treat - food was very good - just the right temperature & amount - the only drawback was the inability of the staff to keep up with the customers - they were very gracious & would stop by & give an update on our orders (& that was appreciated).

The Gorge Bar and Grill is on the second floor of an old building on the eastern side of the Taos Plaza, and they have an outside patio overlooking the Plaza. One of us ordered something they advertised at the entrance, and when the server said that they no were longer serving it, she gave us a substitute at no... More

This is a good restaurant overlooking the plaza in the centre of town. There are indoor and outdoor balcony tables. We had ribs and they were really good. The service was friendly and quick. Thee is a bar inside and you can get great cocktails and different varieties of margheritas. The blood orange one was nice and pretty potent. A... More
