Description: The is a new restaurant which replaced Ogilivie's right on the Plaza in Taos. It is a casual restaurant, with a mune that reflect it's SM location, though is by no means "Mexican" completely. WE had a combinations of startes and salads, all of which are excellent; The Bison Sliders were supurb. The balcony overlooking the Plaza is a wonderful place to watch the activity in the Plaza - the only outdoor eating on the Plaza. They have a full bar, and excellent staff who are all very jazzed about being part of this new venture. It is a definite place for a simple but interesting meal.

While it was nice to sit where we could survey the Plaza, our waitress was disappointing. She did not check on us after our food came (delivered by someone else), and we had to flag someone else down to get the drink we'd ordered with the food. Food was okay, and prices reasonable. Perhaps with another waiter things would be... More

The Gorge is very casual but the menu is diverse enough to meet the needs of most appetites. The atmosphere is very laid back but clean. It has a great patio that overlooks Taos Plaza so you can do some serious people-watching while dining. Prices are quite reasonable, happy hour is excellent!

This place overlooks the Square and we enjoyed drinks on the patio during sunset. Our service was good. We witnessed disappointment with the food at the table next to us and decided not to order any. Very nice décor inside and out and very good location.

This is the reason we go into Taos while on vacation in Red River, NM. The food is fantastic, always something new and delicious on the menu. View from the patio outside is great on a cool day. Waitstaff is quick and friendly.

The Gorge has one of the most central and beautiful locations in Taos. Luke Motsinger, AGM, is and incredible host. He walks you through the various brews and wines available and offers personal service to guests visiting for the first time. He is a charmer and makes you want to come back. The Gorge has one of the best Green... More

A beautiful sunny evening, patio seating, a waiter full of information about the area, and a varied menu with lots of price points made for an enjoyable evening. The food was tasty, service prompt, but unlike our Sante Fe restaurants that wanted to shoo you away as soon as they could, we were welcomed to relax and dine at our... More

Our waiter was overwhelmed for an evening meal. There were too many diners and too few servers. The food was acceptable, though ordinary. We waited 30 minutes after asking for coffee and the check. Our waiter gave us the coffee for free when he finally arrived at our table, perhaps realizing we could have just walked out without paying. (I... More

Checked out the menu online and the veggie burger sounded interesting. Turns out the veggie burger was so delicious!! Chose sweet potato fries to go with; portions were large...too much for me to finish!!! We dined outside just before a thunder storm moved in...service was good!! Recommend The Gorge when in Taos!!

Food was ok as was service. Nothing really special about this place. There is an open air seating area overlooking the Plaza.

Everything really good. Location, food, atmosphere. Waiter suffered from short term memory loss. Sad.
