Charming setting and really good food.

The building is an old church- salvaged with a charming courtyard. The blue and yellow corn biscuits with the flavored butters are really tasty. I had the local trout grilled on corn husks, which was so fresh and flavorful. The deserts of the pomegranite-infused chocolate cake and the panna cotta... read more

The Love Apple is in an old and small church. I felt a little uncomfortable approaching the place, with the unique name and location and everything was white - inside and out! . It was recommended by someone from a gallery in Santa Fe. We were seated, what was the 'stage' of the church with two other tables. The food... More

Tastes combine in unexpected ways, using local, top quality ingredients, local cheeses and produce, game meats. The restaurant is tucked into a old church with white-washed walls. With most entree prices under $20, add that these creative meals are easy on the pocketbook. Starters are large enough to serve as small main courses.

Not to sound like a broken record, but I chose to eat at the Love Apple based on the TA reviews. We ate there the night after we ate at El Meze. I will say this, the food was just as good as El Meze, which means it was outstanding! The service was definitely not as good. Don't get me... More

We had a lovely, memorable dinner here. The food is superb, the setting is beyond charming and the wait staff is really great -- attentive, but not over-bearing. This restaurant serves interesting, inventive food made with locally sourced organic ingredients. In fact, our waitress told us the arugula garnish on my starter was from her own garden! The venison sausage... More

I had mixed feelings on a number of levels regarding the Love Apple. Yes, there was charm and a unique appeal, but probably not for everyone. It was more appealing to me than for my husband and friend who accompanied me. I thought the staff was friendly and accommodating. Service was good but then I say that unless we are... More

During our book signing trip to Taos recently we decided to try a new restaurant. We saw great recommendations for The Love Apple on this site. Also a few Santa Fe friends recommended it. Wow! We were not disappointed. The food and service was great. The prices were good. We will definitely make plans to eat here again! Phil and... More

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. You can't ask for much more. The restaurant is a candle-lit converted adobe church, and the menu focuses on organic, locally grown produce. If you have one night in Taos, definitely make a reservation for dinner at The Love Apple.

The Love Apple is a favorite of many. It is my favorite for ambiance. Menu is hit or miss and service is less than optimum. They do have the best wine selection in Taos by the bottle. I had one of the best salads ever - shaved raw beets, grapefruit and avocado - not original but so perfectly composed and... More
