Lovely regional decor..... excellent attentive and friendly staff. Cuisine is latin/French. The menu makes it hard to decide. But I have seen, on cooking shows, a dish I have always wanted to try so I had my first Croque Madame at gutiz. Wonderful!!!! Served with a salad so fresh I might have been in their gàrden. The Lemonade wasa new... More

OK, I must confess I've reviewed Gutiz previously. This was our second visit. Last year, we attended Michael Hearne's Big Barn Dance Music Festival for the first time and another music lover recommended it and we ate lunch. On this occasion, it was a destination! and this time for breakfast. We also brought guests who are vegetarians. They can accommodate... More

Came wandering in after finding the line too long at Michaels. Was glad we did, because our meal was fantastic. We sat outside on the patio and had breakfast; crepes, granola, sausage bowl and bean bowl. Had great soy lattes, and loved, loved, loved the refreshing mint lemonade and desert pear lemonade. The food was prepared with care, and was... More

My wife and I pass this restaurant all the time and recently heard some good comments from friends. We dropped in for lunch today, and it was really terrific. They make 99% of everything you are served (breads, desserts, fresh brewed tea, etc., etc.) Breakfast is served all day. Terrific and extensive menu. I had the Croque Madame and my... More

We have been to Taos many times but have missed this place. We stopped for breakfast on our last trip. Sat outside in beautiful weather and had an amazing breakfast. Try the French toast. My party all loved their meals. Great service too

I went here for breakfast with friends who were visiting Taos. It's sort of a small diner atmosphere. The eggs benedict were delicious with a thick slice of Black Forest ham and one of the best homemade hollandaise sauces I have had. It was served on 2 large English muffins on top of a bed of Gutiz home fries. The... More

Never fails.. you sleep in than can't find a breakfast place. We came across Gutiz and were blown away! The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish we had was thoughtfully prepared and the flavors were amazing. The wait staff was awesome. Try to french toast, the potato dish was amazing as was the andouille sausage. Only issue is finding a... More

First of all, this place was packed to the brim with locals, which is always a good sign! We waited a bit for a seat out on the patio and were quickly delighted by Gutiz's sensitivity to gluten free/vegetarian/dairy allergies/etc. My whole family (almost) has some sort of dietary restriction, so this was a sight for sore eyes! My sister... More

Visited Gutiz for lunch during a recent day trip to Taos. Took our new dog Bentley and sat at the outdoor patio area. It was a beautiful day and Bentley was welcomed and received a bowl of fresh water. The menu was extensive and each entree was marked if gluten free, could be made gluten free, and if it was... More
