THE BEST restaurant in TAOS!

Amazing restaurant run by super people! You MUST try the mint lemonade on a hot day and EVERYTHING else the make! I lost my wallet and barely had enough money to buy brunch. Jennifer was so kind and brought me extra bread and jam (and other extras). Luckily, I DiD find my wallet on the way... read more

have been wanting to try it for some time and glad I did. first of all if you expect the snobbish fake affectations of french accents with rude waiters ala ny or beverly hills rest assured that the staff are delightful and the interior is very attractive. my girlfriend ordered mushroom soup that was in a rich cream sauce and... Gutiz has been one of our favorite spots in Taos for breakfast and lunch for years. We were very excited to hear that they were opening for dinner. In the last week I have had dinner there twice and breakfast once. I had great food and service all three times. The owner also came to our table each time and... More

My boyfriend and I are on a road trip and we stopped in Taos for 2 nights. On our last night we went to Gutiz and it was AMAZING! We shared the roasted tomato soup with a goat cheese crustini. It was really delicious. We also got entrees, the beef bourguignon and the ahi tuna special of the night. The... More

Gutiz has been popular for years but now they are serving dinner Thursday-Saturday with a new dinner menu. We tried all the appetizers and especially loved the salad with pomegranate vinaigrette and the hush puppies with jalapenos. The vegetarian entree was also delicious. The atmosphere is casual and cozy and the prices are mid-range. A good option if you are... More

This is a wonderful small place with a great atmosphere. For vegetarians the dinner menu is rather sparse. I ordered a salad from their Tapas menu without bacon but they put their candied bacon anyway. But we had a wonderful time. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere festive and fun.

There is something about this place that we just really like. We have driven up the high road to Taos ( take the low home) just to enjoy the drive and have lunch. My favorite is the "Drunken Chicken"- A wonderful "pot pie" that is very filling and delicious. My wife enjoys a salad a four cheese bread plate. She... More

We had a delicious breakfast at Gutiz. The scrambled egg tower contained eggs, onion, green chilis, mushrooms and spinach. The tower was topped with three small slices of Manchego cheese. I had the homemade toast and my wife had a chocolate croissant. The tower came with two types of homemade hot sauce, potatoes and a small salad. Everything was delicious.... More
