We had just completed a Pottery hunt in Socorro and we need gas. We fueled the car and I asked the clerk what they thought of Armijo's Mexican Restaurant just up the street. She exclaimed, "I like it." We were hungry so we took her at her word and stopped at Armijo's Mexican Restaurant for lunch. We entered the restaurant... More

Single waitress/bus person/cashier worked hard on her 7 tables. But pretty fast anyway. Food was okay--some would say too spicy hot. All beef items were hamburger. We 2 had burritos and enchiladas. Neither memorable nor bad. Maybe the most average Mexican food on earth.

This is the place to stop for two reasons. Green Chile Special Burger steak or the Taco Burgers Red or Green Chile. You have to try one or better yet both of these amazing items. They are amazing and will keep you coming back for more. Great owners and great staff.

Not the prettiest place in town, but excellent food and friendly staff. Definitely home cooking style and reasonable prices.

The food here is authentic, and there is a lot of it. Our favorite salsa in town. Fast service, friendly staff. Casual, I would not suggest this place for Prom or an Anniversary.

Stopped here for lunch with co-workers while on business in Socorro. Had a beef enchilada with red chile and rice and beans. Tasted ok, but the red chile wasn't that hot or flavorful. Was hoping for better. Chips and salsa were okay. Sopapilla's at the end were good like others have said. Service was okay but definitely could have used... More

We were traveling back to Texas from New Mexico and found this little restaurant. It is clearly family run. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ordered the beef stuff sopaipillas and they were delicious! The accomodated our desire for a queso sauce over a chile sauce as well. We would highly recommend this restaurant. It is... More

Our waitress was not able to efficiently cover the 4 tables at the restaurant at that time. Food was okay. Not sorry we stopped.

My husband and I are visiting Socorro on a photo tour and stopped for dinner. We both had stuffed soappapillas that were very tasty! Unfortunately, they do NOT sell alcoholic beverages. New Mexican food always tastes better with a beer or margarita!
