Ok Mexican food

The food was ok, but the service was terrible, very slow. I had been warned about the service from hotel desk clerk, but it was what chosen by our group leader.

After a long drive from Tucson we stumbled on this oasis. Great, fun interior. Good ambiance. Good food. I was bummed to find there was only refried beans on the menu, and no pinto or black beans. Other than that, it was great.

We eat at El Sombrero whenever we are in Socorro. The food and the service are excellent! We tried the lunch buffet one day and it was spectacular! There were chips and salsa, Mexican potatoes, enchiladas, and tacos. Price is reasonable!

It's hard to believe that Frank & Lupe's El Sombrero is ranked below Blake's Lotaburger (the ultimate insult to any restaurant!!) I always make 1-2 stops at El Sombrero when visiting nearby Bosque del Apache NWR. The chalupas are highly recommended. They had a buffet the last time I was there if you want more variety in your meal. Nothing... More

Went here in a photo shoot and our group was not tiny but the extremely slow service was painful. Food was good Mexican varieties. Give yourself extra time if you want to eat here

On a chilly December night we sat in a cozy room at a table right in front of the fireplace. The carne adovada was succulent and perfect. From the hostess to the waitress to the cashier, all of the people were pleasant, welcoming, and efficient.

With many other great places nearby, skip this one. My wife and I ate here the first night we arrived and were disappointed that the service was rather unfriendly (especially given how friendly everyone seems in this area). My wife's order was ok but mine came out cold and flat. I ordered fajitas and it was as if they scooped... More

We both had the chilies rellano - they were tasty, but too much breading on the outside that I scraped off. Also, I prefer my beans thoroughly mashed and these were not. The restaurant was totally empty in the first two rooms we entered and had to shout out to find a host to seat us. There were many cars... More
