This restaurant is closed, has been for 2month. New local brewery opening in July. Too bad but the service was bad and food was up and down.

The Bistro is a definitely a local establishment, and full of local characters. The restaurant draws its wait staff from the nearby New Mexico Technical University. For example, the young woman waiting on our party was studying mechanical engineering, which in itself speaks highly of the establishment. It was open mike night the evening we arrived, and we were treated... More

The "Bistro " from the outside was inviting and it appeared we had found some good eats. We were greeted politely and seated. The menu had a descent variety of foods, ranging from New Mexican to American fares. Some in our group ordered hot wings. They initially looked great, but as my group found out....also a bit on the undercooked... More

We tried the Bistro for dinner while vacationing in the area. It has a unique atmosphere, with some local musicians providing background music. Our food was ok, once it arrived. It took over an hour from the time we ordered until delivery of our food. Thankfully we were not in a rush, but that's a bit too long.

Also a return to this place. The food is fine but the opportunity of meeting friendly locals makes the place special. They also have gifted local musicians and singers that are excellent and mostly, do not blow your ears aways with loud music.

We ate here twice and both times the food was great. The stuffed mushrooms are real standouts while the general menu items are all very good. You can't go wrong. Come on a night when they have entertainment and you'll be amazed at the talent. The two cowboys (locals) who were on stage the night we were there were exceptionally... More

Went in for a business dinner with about 8 others. This is a traditional-style restaurant located at the end of the Plaza in Socorro and is equipped with a long bar. Service was excellent and the size of the crowd didn't seem to bother the cook or the servers as everyone was very pleased with their meal. I ordered the... More

I stopped here for an early dinner and really enjoyed the Spring Chicken Pasta. The ingredients were all very fresh. I also got a cup of Chai which was served in a huge cup. Nice atmosphere, excellent service, and convenient parking in the lot just across the street. They also have vegetarian options. If I had been in town longer,... More

Ate here one evening while on a road trip through NM. The bistro is a bit funky and definitely popular with the locals. We enjoyed our visit but found the menu a bit limited. Got there early, but the 'special' was not available that day?

This is a charming, local restaurant in the old center of Socorro. The food was eclectic and very reasonable. Excellent beef and very fresh salads, along with a great mix of light fare and entrees with a southwestern touch. The staff was very friendly. They have live entertainment on some evenings. Definitely a keeper
