We stumbled across this restaurant and it turned out to be surprisingly good. The restaurant isn't much to look at from the outside or on the inside for that matter. The menu is a bit of a mixed bag - several styles to choose from Mexican, American, or sandwiches. I think each of us tried something different and all were... More

We tried Joe's after looking through the hotel directory for restaurants. The atmosphere was ok as was the food. The service was a bit lax as we had to flag down another server to get our server more than once.

This was my first ever experience of eating mexican food in the USA and, wow, delicious! I am so pleased we picked Joe's as it was totally delicious and the decor was so unique and quaint. The staff (and other customers) were so friendly, it was such a treat. We had beef fajitas and we had beef burrito. The portions... More

Whenever I pass through Santa Rosa, I look forward to stopping at Joe's... in fact, I usually plan my meal hours before I get there. The food is always great and I find it to be a "fun place" where you can meet all kinds of travelers. Oh, and the sopapillas are wonderful! You won't be disappointed...

We had dinner at Joe's. The food was very good, however the service was a bit unattentive. Multiple times our waitress disappeared, and we didn't see her for 10 minutes at a time. The place has a nice atmosphere inside, and has a restaurant, a bar, and a gift shop.

It took a while for the waitress to get our drink/food order. We were about to leave until another waitress working in another section apologized for her slacking co worker and took our order. The original waitress decided to wait 2 tables, ignore us, and then proceeded to have a conversation with friends. The food was great salsa was mild... More

The ambiance was pleasing and the food was good; the service was a bit slow but don't know if that was on the cooking end or the serving end. They have souvenirs, as well.

An old lady took our order then we flicked through a newspaper/brochure providing information and things to do in Santa Rosa. Our food soon arrived - cheap, greasy, Mexican food. Can't decide if that's a compliment or criticism! There is a gift shop adjacent to the bar. The whole place lacked atmosphere, but it wasn't bad by any means.

We stopped here on an overnight stay as it was the first place that looked decent. My brother and i were quote pleased with the quality of the mexican food served, fresh ingredients and very well prepared. The place is old, as is expected along old route 66, but the service was frienldly, quick and everything tasted wonderful. Not only... More
