My family and I stopped in here last week on our way home from Flagstaff. We all had Mexican food and we enjoyed it very much. It seemed like everything was hand-rolled and home-made. The salsa was great, we had two bowls, plus it had a little bite to it! The enchiladas were fresh, hot and tasty, tacos were fried... More

Arrived in the middle of the day for lunch. Tostado plate was good, taco plate was ok, priced a little high, servers were nice but service was very slow. Only 2 waitresses and 1 or 2 cooks. Probably wouldn't eat there again due to slowness as we were traveling, but food was okay.

I ordered a hamburger. Two folks arrived after I did and was severed their food in a timely manner. I waited for approximately 30 minutes when I inquired, "Did they have to kill the cow"? The waitress response was a smile and , "It'll be out shortly". I waited another 10 minutes and was about to leave when my food... More

I had the green chili cheeseburger and it was amazing! The service is stellar. They are attentive and welcoming and put my hometown to shame. Thanks for the burger!

Nothing special here, very neat, clean interior, good service and average food. Lots of memorabilia to look at. Items are overpriced. I would not return.

My wife and I ate here and really enjoyed speaking to the staff. The food was really good as I had a hamburger and fry. We dropped our trailer at the Comfort Inn hotel we stayed at and bobtailed over here to the Route 66 Restaurant. Good food good times!

My colleagues and I stopped for breakfast at the Route 66 Diner en route to Clovis, NM (we'd spent the night at the Comfort Inn down the road). The diner recommended by the front desk wasn't open, so we stumbled across this place (which is apparently the original Route 66 Diner). The two ladies that served us were polite and... More

Traveling west on I-40 in central New Mexico, it is pretty barren. Santa Rosa is an oasis of restaurants and truck stops. I got off on Old Route 66 looking for breakfast and what could be better than the Route 66 Restaurant. I will give them a "five" foe ambiance, but the rest was a disappointment. They had only one... If you are driving parts of old US 66 stop here for good burgers or Mexican food. Reasonable prices and good food. It was nice see an original Route 66 diner still operating.

Wasn't too sure after reading some of the other reviews. However, it was close by so decided to try it out. The food was surprisingly good. We had Calf Liver and Onions, Patty melt, Bacon Cheeseburger, Beef Soup and Chili Cheese Fries. It was all delicious and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend the Route 66 Restaurant... More
