It has history, opened in 1965, so that is fun. Whatever you order, get some salsa. It was fabulous on my grilled chicken salad.

Our stop for lunch at Pat & Mary Velasquez's Route 66 Restaurant was rewarded by a delicious meal, served in a welcome, family-style atmosphere. The menu featured several Mexican entrees as well as traditional American diner fare.

Good and friendly place. For a stop to have lunch. They have Mexican and American food. Soup made out of scratch.

We are frequent visitors to Santa Rosa to visit family. No trip is complete without the biscuits and gravy at 66 Diner My husband always orders the Special Papitas with Green Chile. Patricia and her staff are friendly and efficient. We love this place!

We showed up on a Tuesday, which is their special Taco Tuesday. Tacos are $1 each, a great deal especially because they are homemade (fresh fried shells too) and delicious. But the wait was incredible; many people simply left because they'd been waiting too long. I hope they were just short staffed that day because if that's their standard service,... More

Good service. Family owned. Cute diner with seating at the bar. Burger was big and plentiful. Will stop by again. Just FYI. Everything, other than Mcdonalds, is Mexican style cuisine with an "American" twist. Stick to this place.

A typical diner experience. We enjoyed our burgers! The beef was fresh and they had lots of fixins that really balanced it all out. I had green chilis on mine. Service was average, but acceptable. The place is a bit worn (tape on seats) but has a friendly atmosphere.

Had grilled ham and cheese and cheese tots, companion had taco salad. Food was very good, but it took a while to get it. Maybe they were backed up in the kitchen since it was Sunday lunchtime, and the place was full. The servers were very nice and attentive. Would recommend for a nice homey kind of stop. ...just be... The breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from on the menu. Anything with green chili has got to be good!
