Unique historic restaurant on route 66

This restaurant was right down the street from the La Mesa Motel, where we were staying. The lady said that it had been family owned since 1960, and it looks just like a diner from 1960 on the inside. The food was good but not really anything to write home about. The homemade salsa, on the other... read more

Great breakfast tacos with green chiles. We try to stop here every time we pass through. We think it is the best restaurant in Santa Rosa.

We had breakfast. The food was very good home cooking. There were 4 tables that had people at them and it took almost 45 mins to get our food too us after ordering. We ordered a breakfast burrito and 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast. I have no clue why it would take so long for such a simple... More

Quick service, might be the best spot in Santa Rosa for a quick authentic New Mexican lunch. I would have probably given them a 4 star if they had more vegetarian options. I like the sopopillas at the end, it was a nice touch.

I had the enchilada, chili rellano and taco combo. It was great and the salsa was hot and tasty. Rice was runny. Chips seemed home made

Sad that these once visionary diners are running down. If you had blinders on, the food would be pretty good. But the duct tape on the vinyl and faded pix are a sad historical reach. Food is really a 3+. The service is good but slow. However, it is Route 66.

We stopped here looking for an alternative to fast food and had a great meal - perfect egg, bacon, green chile, and cheese hand burrito. Staff nice and friendly and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. Don't miss this if you are driving through Santa Rosa!

Nothing here was outstanding but the atmosphere was great. I would eat here again for a quick stop. Staff was friendly.

We were hungry after several hours of driving and pulled off I-40 in Santa Rosa. This place was the first spot with a large parking lot for a RV. There were several cars so we took a chance. We did not check with trip advisor prior to stopping. I had a small wilted lettuce grilled chicken salad. Wilted was from... More

Great food! Beef tacos are the BEST! The service was great for a Fri night. Our server was good and answered all of our Gluten Free questions without making us feel as though we were trouble. Been on the road for days and this was by far the best on I-40!
