Wow, what a little gem!

Passed a billboard advertising this place. Pulled up a few reviews on my phone, all really good for the most part. We pulled in and had a chuckle as it is part of a gas station/convenience store/truck stop. Saw that it was a buffet, assumed it would be closed as it was 3PM. Nope!! We were... read more

New Mexico never ceases to amaze me! This unlikely restaurant is in a semi abandoned truck stop in deplorable condition but the food! To die for! I admit I do love Indian food and finding a place like this in such a remote and isolated place has influenced my 5 star review. My sister and I had a breakfast of... More

I love Indian food, but I live in an area where Mexican cuisine is far more common, and Chinese food way too common as an alternate fare. So the first time I passed through San Jon (otherwise a speed bump on my route from Clayton to Clovis), I was surprised to see this restaurant by the roadside. I seldom am... More

We drive past this gas station and restaurant every year and decided to stop. The buffet is small, about 7 different dishes. The was multiple vegetable dishes with peas, potatoes, spinach, and black lentils. There was a chicken curry, chicken biryani, and white rice. Fresh nana was brought to our table. It was very good and quite spicy. It is... More

We saw the signboard while driving from Phoenix via Moriarty towards Elk City. We found the place easily. It is next to Petrol Bunk and very well located for tourists and people traveling through this highway. If you like hot rotis/chapathi/pulka and Lentils, try this place. The rice kheer was tasty, but the yogurt was a little sour. other side dishes... More

We chose this location becuase it has been some time since we last had Indian food. We were not familiar with many of the a la carte offerings. The buffet offerings were familiar. While the spice mix was a bit unfamiliar the food was quite good. The restaurant is proud of their food being freshly prepared. The food was at... More

I've passed the signs on I-40 for Taste of India many times, and had my curiosity piqued. This time, I was hungry, and so was my traveling companion. We decided to pull into the Dhillon Truck Stop at exit 356. The restaurant is on the back side, away from the highway side with the gas pumps. We pulled around. There... More

On Route 40 going east in New Mexico, almost at the Texas border, you'll see a sign saying there is an Indian restaurant off the highway at the Dhillon Truck Stop. Who expected that in the land of green chile? Well, my husband and I decided to stop and see. The restaurant is family run,and it's not fancy or plush,... More

We've been driving by this place for several years, and with each passing make a new threat to try it out some day. Well, we did just that last weekend and we were rewarded richly. There is absolutely no ambiance to the place. It's a truck stop. You'll pass by fuel filters and brake pads on your way to the... More
