Somewhere lost in the nowhere land

Someone recommended me to have a burguer there, otherwise I wouldn't never enter this place. What a surprise, one of te best burguer I have ever had in the US!

On the way to Albuquerque from Las Cruces you'd have to be blind to miss the signs for this place. My family and I decided to finally try it. Its location is ok, I wasn't sure if i'd parked on the street or in a space, however. The signs and the buzz surrounding this place would make you think Lincoln... More

A friend of mine who plays bass in a country band said I have to get a green chili cheese burger at the Owl in San Antonio, NM. 2 problems, I live in Tucson and he is 1 brick short of a full load. ;-) Anyway on a trip back from Albuquerque coming south on I-25 I see a billboard... More

The boss took a number of us to the Owl yesterday on the way back from an all-day court hearing. I wasn't particularly excited: I last visited the Owl ten years ago, got the distinct impression that things were slipping, and switched allegiance to the delicious Buckhorn Tavern. Well, based on our visit yesterday, I'd say the Owl is back.... More

My husband and I were exploring The Very Large Array, and on our way back to Albuquerque, we decided to stop in and have some green chile burgers. This place is definitely a dive. It's old, kind of run-down, but the food was solid. My husband liked the chile burger, and my cheese burger was good. Again, solid food. The... More

Loved the pintos beans with green chili sauce and the burger with no meat. Not sure of the vegetarian options when we arrived since this place is known for their burgers. Glad we stopped, highly recommend.

My wife and I recently had green chile cheeseburgers at the Owl Bar. They were pretty good and about on par with the tasty green chile cheeseburgers we previously tried at the Buckhorn restaurant--the Owl Bar's across-the-street rival in San Antonio. The service was friendly and the bar itself quite fascinating with its colorful history of being a hangout for... More

We had a small group stop in after a day at the Bosque del Apache. The Buckhorn was closed and this had OK reviews so we decided to try it. The Green Chile Cheeseburger had a standard size patty, american cheese and medium heat green chile. For the price I thought it was a bit small. It was served on... More

Food was boring, the fries soggy, but the room was "colorful" and the service very friendly and attentive.

Stopped in on our way to Ruidoso. The place was packed but we still got in, ate and were out of there quickly. We had a BLT and green chili cheeseburger. Both were good and a decent price for a tourist stop.
