Food was hot and fresh. Greasy but hey, it's tacos! Good chips. Driven by this place for years and never stopped. Figured it had to be good since stores and restaurants come and go rapidly in Ruidoso. Glad we finally tried it.

I use to come here when I was younger and the food was always fresh and tasted delicious. When I came here recently I believe the manager served us, old dude with an accent, he was friendly at first. He served us chips and salsa. The salsa is now served in dog bowls. Yes that's right, a dog bowl. Metal... More

Food was over priced and did not taste fresh. Extremely greasy and the meat was rancid. There were a dozen stray cats hanging around outside which was a little weird.

I had the beef torta, and it was amazing! If you want amazing authentic Mexican food, then this is the place for you. It is nothing fancy, but who needs fancy when the food is SOOOO good? This is a must stop for a wonderful casual lunch. Do not be in any hurry when you stop by because they make... More

My daughter and I stopped last year when we saw a lot of the local workers eating there. It was great! When we went back to NM this year it was definitely on our to go to list. The food is great. It is authentic Mexican. If someone doesn't like it, they probably like chain Mexican restaurants. The owner is... More

Thought we had stepped back in time again. I ordered the same thing I always order when trying out a new place to eat, Chile Relleno's. I thought the Relleno's where pretty good but they use a monster cheese on their Mexican food. The chips where not very tasty and the sauce was something else. Cannot in all honesty recommend... Upon arriving at this establishment you will feel a little trepidation but go on in it will be worth it! The interior looks like something you would find south of the border, old and in need of repair but with a charming quality that is welcoming in an odd way. The owner/operator was extremely nice. Now most importantly the food... More

We had seen the reviews, but when we saw it, we decided to keep going. The exterior was not what we had in mind. Then we chose to turn around and try it anyway. I'm glad we made that move. It has a walk-up service window that is constantly busy and a dining room. We ate inside and truly enjoyed... More

My wife spotted this little gem as I sped past and said this is what she'd been looking for since we arrived in New Mexico. Mama's in the kitchen and Papa does the rest. Excellent authentic local cuisine. Very friendly service and atmosphere. Try the soups.

Talk about a hole in the WALL. I've always gotten it to go, but hey who cares what the inside looks like (do shoot for the booths by the cooking station tho lol) if i wanted crispy foods i'd eat inside. Food is fantastic! Nothing fast food about it! I have never ever been disappointed. Staff often speaks no english,... More
