We go to Ruidoso quite frequently as it is only two hours from our home and Pena's is one of our favorite breakfast places. Although it is always busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings, they have an orderly seating process and the waitresses provide great service. My husband loves the pancakes and I like the huevos rancheros. I recommend Pena's... More

I had a breakfast burrito with sausage, egg, green chile and cheese, smothered red. It was delicious, and almost more than I could eat. Wife had a half-order of Eggs Benedict, and it was on par with any we've had anywhere else. All of the indoor furnishings are all professionally handcrafted from wood, not quite our style, but very attractive... More

My family of three ate here on a Saturday morning. It was really nice to be able to sit outside as the weather was gorgeous. My husband had the breakfast burrito and I had the western omelette (both with chorizo); they were good, but nothing special. The cinnamon roll was not good, but was big. The icing was lemon flavored--not... More

We were staying in the upper canyon and got a late start one morning. Coming out of the canyon we spotted this place and decided to give it a try. It is quite small with seating inside only for about 20ish and another possible 10 - 15 outside. The service is great with very nice waitresses and the prices are... More

Read reviews about this place and decided to try breakfast. Great spot a little off the main road. We had fabulous burritos, steak and eggs, and cinnamon rolls. Will caution if your youngster isn't into lemon or orange zest the icing might not be their favorite. But we enjoyed the stop and an added bonus was the fantastic inlaid tables... More

Recommended by locals and so glad we tried it. The pancakes were delish...the burrito and salsa so fresh.

This is one of the best places to have breakfast in New Mexico. They are known for their Eggs Benedict on the weekend, but we love their breakfast burritos. If there is a crowd, put your name on the list - it is worth the wait!

You must go on Saturday or Sunday when they serve eggs benedict. Seating is small so outside is usually The best option. Everything is good and service is kind and good.

If you want eggs benedict, try Pena's Place. The restaurant, located near the end of Sudderth Drive, is small and usually requires a small wait on Saturday or Sunday. They offer the usual breakfast fare.
