We always enjoy coming here when in Ruidoso. Consistently good pizza with many options. The kids get a kick from watching the dough being thrown. We have always had good service, but know to call ahead during busy ski season.

Even with open tables inside, we still had to wait for more than 10 minutes to be called in to sit. Very slow service. Pizza was decent and of good size - but not like you can find anywhere else. The coffee was very watery - I can find better one from McDonald! It can see it was packed with... More

Every year, the kids look forward to coming off the mountain and eating pizza at Cafe Rio. Food is decent, but employees are not very attentive or nice (except for the busboy who was a bit of brightness in the restaurant all by himself - let's hope the other Cafe Rio employees don't ruin him). Every time we eat there,... More

The pizza was pretty good, especially after a day of skiing. I split the rio classic with my boyfriend. I was pretty surprised with how poor the service was. We were asked to sit at the bar because there were no seats available. When a table became available, we asked if we could move over to a table (there was... More

The pizza was excellent, the servers had pretty poor attitudes. We sat at the bar and asked if we could take an open table. They said it was probably reserved and didn't get back to us. Later a couple showed up and took the table. No big deal though, but the servers were a little impolite in general. Besides that,... More

We eat at Café Rio every trip we make to Ruidoso. There have been times we have gone out of the way coming back from other NM trips to eat the awesome pizza they offer. I love the pizza but they have many more wonderful dishes as well, for instance the best desserts, like humming bid cake and Ice cream... More

My family ( total of 7) went to Ruidoso on Thanksgiving weekend. We had frequented Café Rio before and decided to go get some lunch on Saturday ( 11/29/14) while we did some shopping. Got to the restaurant at about 11:30 am and there was a waiting list to get seated. I signed in and proceeded to wait and wait.... More

The places has the best pizza ever, and if there is a wait it's so worth every minute. Not sure why any one would eat any where else. I eat here every year I go to ruidoso.

Awesome. Can't get any better. I'm not sure why anyone would eat any other pizza. Had lunch here on a recent trip. Best pizza I have had since ny.

The eggs benedict was good (not as good as Jimmy's) and the breads were good with just the egg breakfasts. The service was good and we ate outside by the river which was very nice. The biggest complaint is that another group ate upwind from us with a couple of dogs. The woman kept pulling hair out of the dog... More
