Great pizza. LONG cold wait

It's ski season. It's busy. It's a small place. We had to wait half hour in 30 degree weather. Thankfully since we'd been skiing we were dressed warm or we'd have froze! Inside was warm but every time someone opened door a blast would rush in so I was cold. Pizza wasn't! Piping hot yummy pizza... read more

When we arrived at the restaurant at 5:45 pm on a Sunday night all the tables were full, so, as other reviews suggest, we had to stand outside in about 40 degree weather for 15 minutes until a table opened up. Then it took a long time to get the attention of the one waitress, since she also rings up... More

This place is your classic hidden little joint. My honey and I stopped for dinner, which was enough for 4, and we couldn't stop eating. It was amazing! We will be back! Count on that!

The pizza is great. However, there is a female server there (who I understand is also part manager?) who is unbelievably rude and quite obviously hostile. She does not belong in the service industry and we will not be returning to Café Rio because of her (she shall remain unnamed here because, quite frankly, I am sure that anyone familiar... More

It gets crowded on weekend nights between 5-7 (the apres-ski crowd). Call ahead to find out how long the wait is. We ordered pizza for carry out and brought it back to our condo so as not to have to wait 1 hour for a table. Good pizza for reasonable prices.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place because of all the great reviews we read and we can say this place did not disappoint! We loved it! Yes, we did have to wait about 30 minutes outside the place because they have no waiting area inside and it was a cold night in Ruidoso and lots of people... More

Always good dining, whether you're a local or just visiting Ruidoso. Salads, soups, pizza. All hand-crafted. And talk about a zing! Try that double-espresso cake! Holy Moly!

I have visited this restaurant many times and have always had great service. The people that work the café are very colorful. But the service is always good, the pizzas are great. The only downside is that is very small, so you may have to wait for a table for a while.
