Cozy coffee shop with great food

I loved this place when we visited Ruidoso. The ambiance was quiet and cozy, but not too stuffy like a library - like many coffee shops in my town tend to try to be. The food is great and I was so happy it had a number of not only vegetarian, but vegan options as well. Fast service and... read more

Had coffee on morning and it was really good. Prices are average with all coffee shops. Menu is not too big and prices and products again are in line with coffee shops. From what I say also, they serve wine also.

We tried the regular and Mexican hot chocolate - go with the Mexican! It is spicy and flavorful. The large is super large, too, comparable to Starbucks venti or whatever. They also have a super nice lounge area where you can read, chat, meet, and a back meeting room with a sunday morning jazz band playing and outdoor seating. This... More

I love the new place! The seating is great and roomy, the menu just as good if not better than before. Fantastic place to hang out alone or with friends.

A local I know recommended I try this place and she was right! They just moved to a new location, which is really nice. Someone was playing the guitar as we ate lunch. They had plenty of vegan options for me, and the staff knew what was vegan and what wasn't. The veggie sandwich on focaccia, with smoked-poblano pecan vinaigrette... More

I visited two times in January and had a lovely lunch of green chile cheese quiche with fresh fruit, and a giant mug of hot tea. The second time I had a wonderful muffin with my tea. Everything is homemade and the giant mugs for tea and coffee are terrific.

We enjoyed amazing coffees & scones during a recent trip to Ruidoso. I am a fan of the "Name" coffee chain up the street, but Sacred Grounds has them beat! We purchases speciality coffee grounds to enjoy at home....we weren't disappointed . We didn't try the regular menu, but every plate we saw going back to the kitchen was picked... More

My wife and girls wanted some hot drinks before we started walking around doing some shopping. My daughter and I got the hot apple cider and it was very good. Very hot but very good!! My wife and other daughter got some white mocha lattes and they said they were very good! Worth the stop and will go back next... More

Great selection of coffees, pastries and quiche. Quiet atmosphere unless they are roasting beans, then sit in the other side of the room. Very friendly staff. Cafe has wifi, but we were not having luck connecting. Sounded like just a glitch that day.

This place has pretty good coffee and a wide selection of teas and beans, but it seems to be suffering from an identity crisis. Maybe it's the touristy nature of Ruidoso, but this coffee shop seems to be unsure of whether it's a cafe, a tea shop, a coffeehouse, or a poetry hall. Also, the manager is weirdly aggressive toward... More
