Great service with a smile, more than makes up for what I would say is average Tex-Mex food that's a little overpriced for what you get. It's not quite athentic New Mexico cuisine if that's what you are after. It seems to be the place where the 'well-to-do' people from the Southern states go. Casual attire, nothing fancy. The front... We had an early dinner...my wife had the Casa Combo. The pepper in the chile rellano was a bit tough, but the beef enchilada was good. They gave a lot of cheese, so if your a cheese lover. I had the habanero chicken fajitas. Good portion size, tender chicken and the habanero peppers added just the right kick. Waitress was... More

We came here a couple of years ago, the food was amazing! I could not wait to get back to Ruidoso and order what we had the first time. To my surprise, it went down hill from the time our appetizer arrived. We ordered the famous fried cheese sticks which lacked in flavor. :( They were not cubes on a... More

Being from the San Antonio area we should know better than to eat Mexican food in other areas but we gave it a try. Disappointed is an understatement. The best thing about this place is the view of the mountains from the large dining room window. Over priced and poor quality. I don't understand how anyone could say this place... More

Great everything! Chips, salsa, burritos, enchiladas, soap ills.......delicious:). We had to wait to be seated for about 15 minutes to be seated, even though there were plenty of empty tables, because they were short handed for servers. But the wait was worth

every time we go to Ruidoso we ALWAYS eat here. for a while the quality seemed to slip. we were told the original owners had taken back over . this time the food was excellent. portions were more than ample. we both ate the casa combo and neither could finish. we cannot believe this place doesn't get higher ratings. all... We've been coming to Ruidoso for years and we usually always eat here. This year it was much improved! I had the enchiladas with green chili sauce and it was great. Others had the fajitas and they raved about them. Overall... Really good food. We will definitely go back next time we are in town.

We ate here in May 2014 and had a party of 11. We had no problem being seated. The restaurant was pretty empty. The salsa was good as well as the food. They are New Mexico flavors which tasted pretty good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. There is quite a hike to the front door, but we exited through... More

This restaurant offers a variety of New Mexican food and drinks. The decoration and location reminds me a beautiful cabin in Bariloche, Argentina. The food is good and the prices very reasonable the service fast and friendly. Sometimes, during summer it gets very crowded thus I recommend to get there earlier than 4 pm. Locals always recommend this place, and... More

Ended up here because El Comal was closed. The service was average; our waitress was friendly but inexperienced. My husband got cheese enchiladas which he really liked, but my chicken enchiladas were dry. I was hoping for a margarita but was advised not to order one because their machine was not "trust worthy." It was all inexpensive so I wasn't... More
