Loved this place!

We wanted a good country breakfast away from the chains. We found this little cafe and were very pleased. I think it's a good sign when a place is frequented by locals and you can tell they are regular customers: this is that place. The meals my wife and I ordered came with a side salad which consisted of iceberg lettuce and two cherry tomatoes. We were informed the place was out of other salad ingredients. We thought, why not send someone to the grocery store since it was just before lunch time and you were surely were expecting much more similar orders. The... More

Saturday morning and very busy! No tables available, seated at counter in metal tractor seats which are comfortable! Coffee was offered immediately and then we realized that orders were slow in coming from kitchen! Evidently they didn't expect such a crowd and 35 minutes later our very tasty cowgirl breakfast was served. At almost the same time, four people in... More

Amazing food! Great staff! The owner is always ready to share a secret dish or two. Everything is always amazing and the dessert is over the top! Definitely won't regret your visit.

Can't go wrong at the Cowboy Cafe.......been there 6-7 times in the past two months and always excellent. Once a week, it is the work lunch location of choice. It's not just the food, it's the atmosphere and the locals who absorb us "non" locals with ease. We are greeted warmly, accepted and feel appreciated. But the food rocks as... More

I stopped in because I have always seen lots of cars there . I got the special which was brisket plate. The meat was cool & had a weird taste, wasn't sure if it was still good to eat, I had water with my meal, & had a piece of pecan pie to go, my meal was nearly 18.00 without... More

After living in SE New Mexico for years, my husband and I FINALLY made it to Cowboy Cafe. We're really glad we did. The atmosphere was cozy and casual, filled with many locals/regulars. It was crowded at noon on Good Friday, but I'm guessing it stays busy most days. The dining room is small, so we took the option of... More

The owner is not formally trained, but is an excellent chef in his own right. The menu is the diner stuff, and it is very good. The specials is where the talent shows. Everything is good. The friendly locals go there including real Cowboys. I stayed for a while talking and laughing with some guys who bellied up to the... More

Decided to stop in for brunch with the family on our way back from Colorado. I had biscuits with sausage gravy. It was okay at best. I was hoping for gravy that was cooked using the sausage grease, but got plain tasting gravy with sausage chunks cut up into it. My hash browns were pretty tasty. The pancakes my son... More

I have visited cowboy cafe on many occasions, and have never been disappointed! It's not great for big groups, but great for great food! Go, eat, leave full and ready for a nap:-). Cowboy cafe is the place for real home cooking, and a super casual atmosphere. Get the pie...any pie!
