Good Food...Just not Very Authentic

When you are in New Mexico you think authentic chile dishes right? Well, then maybe this place isn't for you. As a lifetime resident of the Southwest with frequent travels to Central America and Mexico, I've eaten my way through many miles of food. The dishes were well prepared and tasted good... read more

Nice Bar, good menu, prices are resonable. Portions average. Good atmospher, a little off style of the ABQ Mexican resturants. Clean place worth the stop for Mexican Food

The chicken dishes are excellent, and my favorite. Everything fresh and tasty. Our favorite place to stop and eat , even if we cant stay the night . The frozen drinks are a favorite too ! Service is perfect with pleasant and attentive staff. All the dishes I see others enjoying look great as well. I have eaten here over... More

Great authentic southwest style mexican food. Ample portions that the friendly staff modified to suit your individual tastes. It was also helpful that my host personally knew both the bartender and our waitress.

I noticed that some did not like the service in some reviews, and a few did not like the food. But since my experience was good, i gave them five stars. I had the Honey Chipotle Rbs, and my brother had the Chile Rubbed Ribeye. Both of us liked the food very much. The service was good, even though the... More

First impression was great. A very beautifully designed building inside and out with impressive curb appeal. We arrived early to a sparse crowd but left with a house full. Waitress was very attentive and efficient. Food arrived quickly and looked very appealing. My wife's soup was excellent as was the fried ice cream which we shared. Prices reasonable. My lowered... Had the number 2 combo which had a beef taco, cheese enchilada and a chili relleno. The relleno was a green chili, not a poblano. Good and spicy.

We were staying nearby so this was a handy restaurant for us. The food was good and the beer was cold so I would go back for sure. Do not come here if you want gourmet but it lived up to our expectations!

New Mexican spicy food can be difficult to find....even in New Mexico! This restaurant was a real surprise to find on a recent road trip. It was very clean, had a nice atmosphere, friendly servers and wonderful Mexican food! Will definitely stop again.
