Description: Serving the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque area for 14 years; Joe’s Pasta House proudly shares with you the traditional Italian American cuisine created with immigration recipes taught to Joe while growing up in his grandmother’s kitchen. Working in the family bakery, Joe also learned the pastry trade from his father; but his heart remained in grandma's kitchen. After working with many chef's Joe started his first local business with Dagwood's Restaurant following with Avanti's Pizzeria & Dakota's Catering. Using fresh, natural and some local/organic ingredients the chefs create each dish when you order it; so please inform your server of any special requests you may need. From a plate of Spaghetti with meatballs or sausage to Chicken Marsala or a dish of pasta with fresh vegetables like zucchini, basil, garlic and mushrooms; you will find every dish a culinary delight.

I had the romano encrusted salmon. Although a little on the rich/creamy side, it was good and the portion, huge. The appetizers were better...the bread and no bite to it salsa is sold there! The lemon chello cake tasted like the drink and the white wine the waitress suggessted, had no bitterness with a nice finish and matched my meal... More

We had visited here in 2013 with a sizable group and had a memorable meal. So this time there were only three of us and it was a Saturday, later in the evening, when we decided to give this place another try. I had to write another review because we enjoyed every aspect of this meal from the bread served... More

Excellent food, atmosphere, and professional caring service. The ingredients used to the delicious food are first-rate, evidenced when they bring the bread and salad, and then to the final cup of coffee.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful review letting us know we provided excellent food, atmosphere & professional caring service. We work diligently to make sure we are providing fresh, chemical/hormone free food as much as possible (organic & local when feasible as well, although many of our recipes do require some fine, imported products). It is a balancing act to... More

Moved to Rio Rancho about 7 years ago and found Joe's Pasta House shortly thereafter. The one dish I love is the Fruti di Mari. Don't walk but run and get yours. When going there you will usually find the owner "Joe" there to meet you at the door and while there try a bottle of the Merlot - Luna... More

Glad you found us! It is so good to hear that you love our Frutti di Mari so much that you recommend others run to get theirs. We believe that in being a family owned & operated restaurant it is very important that we are there to welcome & take care of our guest (in addition to Joe being there... More

It's like visiting your favorite aunts house for family dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and service is prompt and helpful..The food is superb. We love his sauce and his chicken parmigiano rocks! Bread is delicious especially with the dipping sauce.Try one of the veal dishes you won't regret it. A very affordable restaurant.

I have a very bad allergy to cheese and have a hard time finding anything I can eat at Joe's. I tried the marinara sauce, but it is so sweet that it is impossible to eat. I have tried other dishes as well, but found nothing that would cause me to return.

We are sorry to hear you have suffered a bad cheese allergy for years but it is something we can accommodate with most of the entrees we offer on our extensive menu. In addition to offering Steaks, Chops & Seafood - we cook fresh to order; so most of our entrees can be made without cheese (with the exception of... More

Whenever we are in the Rio Rancho area, we stop in for a meal at Joe's Pasta House. During the week, there is an all you can eat lunch buffet, which is a good deal for $ 7.99. Dinner is what we usually order, and we've always had a great meal and great service. We ate at Joe's Pasta House... More

Thank you for writing this wonderful review & for choosing to dine with us for both lunch & dinner. My husband and his best friend are prime rib lovers and usually find that even tho it's a pricey dish the portions are small. Not at Joe's ! Loved the Ribs, the portions and the price was right. Staff is great. Very polite and extremely attentive.

Thank you for letting us know how much you all loved our Prime Rib. Joe's pet peeve is when we go out to eat & the portion/quality doesn't justify the price. Prime Rib night (Wednesday's) is very popular, many of our guest appreciate that we offer a slowly roasted prime that is grass fed & has no hormones; naturally tender.... More
