This place has nice selection of chinese food. The food taste fine. The atmostphere of the resturant is nice. However, we had several incidents that to-go order were wrong, for instance, wanting hot and sour soup but got the egg drop soup or wanting white rice and got brown rice instead. So they need to make sure the order is... More

We've been patroning Tao for 3 years every other week sometimes weekly. I had a baby 16 months ago and I've been asking David, the owner, to please put in a baby changing station and he keeps blowing me off until finally asking for the 80th time, he told me that a 200 dollar station isn't worth one customer!! My... More

We wanted inexpensive but excellent Chinese food on a Saturday night, and we found it at Tao's Bistro. The menu has many familiar items and few specials not usually found on a Chinse menu. We ordered the spring rolls. They arrived in a thin skin (not pasty or overly fried as is often the case elsewhere), filled with crisp fresh... More

We have eaten in and done take out here numerous times. The food is delicious and the prices reasonable. It is without a doubt our favorite Chinese food restaurant in Rio Rancho.

My friend suggested this family owned restaurant (the parents do the cooking) because she likes it. I knew she had good taste so i was happy to go there for lunch.I was not disappointed, very good food and no MSG. I had moo goo gai pan and the chicken and vegetables were delicious. my friend had orange peel beef and... More

I have travelled 40 minutes in traffic to get to Tao in order to eat a really yummy chinese meal. I'm from New York and I was spoiled growing up so close to China Town where I could get a great meal of asian cuisine, authentically prepared (not the glop that Americans like... no sweet sauces, fried junk food stuff)... This is a nice enough restaurant. They try hard and have good help. But the base of everything in food is the water and this section, so all the eateries in this corner of Rio Rancho suffers from a foul tasting water and it carries through all the foods that count water as an ingredient.

First time diner we sat for dinner. Decor is average, not inspiring or interesting, just basic. Food was a disappointment as we found the dishes to be on the bland side, not at all what we were expecting from a restaurant with such an appealing name. Server was very good but was a bit on the rushed side.

From what I read about it I thought Tao's would be reasonably authentic. Boy, was I wrong. One of the worst samples of Szechwan cooking. Totally a waste of time..
