Chicken Alfredo!

This pasta dish was good - wish I had ordered the Alfredo sauce on the side, as the portion was VERY generous for my taste. Grilled chicken was alright and the garlic toast seemed to be from freshly made bread - yummy! Service was excellent - thank you, Nancy, for your friendly attentiveness!

Pappas' has a long history. Now under new management. New menu offerings and home style cooking. Perhaps not the fanciest place around but worth the time to stop and eat. They are operating on more regular hours as the family is striving to serve the community.

It's nice to find a nice place to stop on a long road trip that's not fast food - we found Pappas' Sweet Shop Restaurant simply by cruising through tiny, quiet Raton after dark. Be sure to check hours that they're open (it's quite limited in the evening), but if they are open, it's worth a stop! The food was... More

We stopped here on our way to go skiing. They were so sweet & friendly. The food was wonderful--good 'ol diner-type food. Burgers, fries, etc. I'd highly recommend!

I have to admit that we typically dread stopping for lunch in Raton. The pickins are typically pretty slim. We travel through that area typically once a year. Today we took a chance on Pappa's Sweet Shop and it payed off. It was like stepping back in time. The decor is retro, the service was exceptionally friendly and the food... More

When returning from a trip to Colorado recently I stopped at Pappas' in Raton for breakfast. Years ago when I lived in Cimarron we used to eat there when we went on shopping trips to Raton. I was delighted to see that the restaurant is still in operation, since many places in Raton seem to have closed down or changed... More

The staff here is great, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Two menu items we wanted were not available. I asked for cheddar cheese on a grilled chicken sandwich and got American instead. Overall the place was just average -- we would not return.

On our way to Colorado and on our return home, we stopped at Pappas' Sweet Shop based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. We had breakfast on both visits. My wife had the one egg breakfast with an egg, hash browns, bacon and homemade bread. It was excellent and almost more food than she could eat. I had the... More

As I was traveling through Raton, New Mexico I stopped at a cute place called the Sweet Shop. I must say the service was great; the waitress was friendly and very helpful. The food was very good and the homemade bread made the sandwich so very good. I enjoyed the history of the place and the town. If you pass... More
