Good breakfast

Nice place to eat. We had breakfast on a Sunday morning. Staff was friendly and food was great. My wife and I and the two kids all enjoyed the place and food.

Travellers may have to lower their expectations a bit for Raton but the food at Oasis is good, simple, old fashioned fare right out of the late forties. The aproned, efficient waitresses are smiling cliches of a bygone era. We had an excellent hamburger, with french fries that tasted like potatoes in a way I remember from my childhood, and... More

We were on a road trip from Texas to Colorado, spending the night in Raton. I googled places to eat and this sounded like just what we wanted. We both ordered the "Oasis Burger" ($7.25 each)....mine with cheese and my husband wanted the green chili pepper. We were both quite satisfied with a very good homemade burger and fries. The... We were traveling from Colorado to Albuquerque, NM and stopped to have lunch in Raton. Didn't really expect too much for a restaurant attached to an older motel, but we were pleasantly surprised. Mexican stuffed sopa, covered with delicious green chile, and the "Oasis" burger. Hand formed fresh beef patties with all the trimmings. Friendly wait staff, and will probably... More

Food is good, not great, but we liked it. Service is slow... but friendly waitresses. That always helps overcome the wait. Not bad for a local spot. Obviously, the locals come here which tells you a lot. Nice portions, you won't be hungry when you leave and low-fat options for dressing, etc, if you are dieting. Good place to eat... More

Upon entering the sign states "seat yourself". Ok. But when seated the girl in the white top looked at me three times and ignored me. She brought out menus to two other tables that came in after me. If it wasn't For the girl in the red top, I was going to leave. I was just starting to stand up... More

Arrived here by default, having found nothing else in town that appealed. Turns out, this is a Locals spot and folks from the area came in for dinner. The menu is basic, but the food is good, with decent portions. This is a hidden gem.
