Don't expect complimentary chips and salsa here. Everything is an extra. The food was just ok. The service was below average. The restaurant lacked atmosphere. We will not return.

You feel like this is a family operation, and that many diners are part of the neighborhood. It's a very relaxed, low-key environment. My husband's Chile Rellenos were delicious and very authentic. The Carne Adovada (pork) was a new experience, delightfully moist and well seasoned without being overly spicey. Sopapillas were made with love. A filling and satisfying meal... The... More

A bit boring. After all the time this local place has been in business, it needs a change it's menu. It could also use a good cleaning!

To start with I was very happy to see they were using people with special needs to help serve and take orders. While my wife and I both had Mexican food most of the locals were eating burgers. Our food was good and very well prepared. If you plan a visit to the church go here as it is very... More

This is a very large place that caters to tourists and locals. The food was quite good. The environment was basic, not a place to enjoy a leisurely meal. The service was pleasant but by no means quality. If you want down home, well prepared Mexican food go, but if you want a total quality experience look elsewhere.

Apparently its proximity to the famous San Francisco de Assisi Mission Church, this restaurant is not able to get a liquor license, but the food is so worth it that you should go anyway. The outdoor patio wasn't open when we went (a Saturday evening in early October), so were seated in a brightly-lit room after a wait of about... More

My wife and I went for the first time on our visit this past week. She had the beans and chicharron burrito and I had the Carne Adovada each smothered in the most amazing red chili sauce. We wish we had ordered two more to go!

Visited this restaurant this past weekend after finding it on Trip Advisor. Looked like some pretty good reviews, so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Food was good, service was fair....was a busy place, and we enjoyed. Chips & salsa were very good, food was a little spicy for my husband, but not for me.

We really loved the food here. Both the fajitas and burrito were excellent. The atmosphere is very family friendly - it's definitely a family business. But no alcohol is served - "too close to the church" was what we heard! But don't let that keep you away. The food is well worth it!

Wow! What can we say? This place was fantastic. The vegetarian enchiladas were the best I've tasted, ever. The service was great. Last were the huge sopapillas, amazingly large, tasty, light and crisp.
